The project is currently under development.
The reason the characters look like a skin of another characters is because they're based on the action figures and they recycled a lot parts. Basically all action figures had the same body with differente colors.
Ah, this is an interesting point that changes the whole understanding of the game – and I even think you could make this more explicit somehow. During the posts I made, I saw some people commenting that they look like action figures.

One of the things people praised is the "gritty" look of the sprites, which looked like a Mega Drive/Amiga game, which, for me and many people who grew up with a Mega Drive, isn't a problem. They also said it resembles games like Sword of Sodon or Time Killers, which would make the game a "Kusoge," something that's in vogue nowadays.

Oh, one thing I was asked: do you intend to include Orko in the game?

Finally, I put the link to your channel in the video :)

My bad, I guess I didn't mention that before, huh? About the action figures.

Yeah, I saw some of the comments. I was kind of going for an "Arcade-like" experience. But there's definitely a resemblance with Sega Genesis/Mega Drive games. I was going for a look that was closer to a Comic Book, particularly the mini comics ilustrated by Alfredo Alcala (one of my favorite artists) that came with action figures. I was watching a video of that "Sword of Sodan" game. I never played the game myself but I heard pretty bad stuff about the gameplay. For what I've seen, the visuals are pretty impressive, specially the size and details on the sprites. I gotta look up that "Time Killers" game too.

About Orko well, I thought about it. There's already a "hidden" character in the demo. I wanna have a HUGE roster but who knows how loang that's gonna take?

I saw that comment where you shared the link to my channel. Thanks a lot! I hope all is well with you.

By the way, I was just playing Mega Man: Master Robot Mayhem this morning. I beat the game a couple of times. Dr. Wily is ALWAYS challenging. Pretty sick, dude. For real. It feels like it was developed by Capcom.

So, here's a picture of what I think will cover ALL Heroic Warriors and Evil Warriors that I plan on having on the game. The 12 characters on the right are the ones I will add, at some point, AFTER the holidays.

On this video I'm showing 2 new characters and a new stage. I'm finally getting to the part where I get to work on characters that I'm not that familiar with so I hope I got them right. I believe these characters were introduced later in the toyline when it wasn't as popular.

The stage is based on The "Tar Swamp" from the Filmation Series. I was trying to make it look like the characters feet are under water so I used a foreground with "alpha" transparency and played with the intensity of the effect so that it would blend better with the background so that it looks like it's one whole body of water. I think it came out pretty good.
