Hello i am having trouble with trying to add a mugen screen pack and putting it into the the mugen emulator. Then getting the screen pack to play any help on how to this would be great thank you.As i have tried but evey time the game wont play i have followed you tube tutorials but they didnt work

Someone more "Mugen qualified" than me can answer the actual question, but as I mentioned in one of your other posts, Mugen and OpenBOR are not emulators. An emulator is exactly what it says on the tin - it emulates a set of hardware so applications that are designed for said hardware can run on it. Example: Mame emulating arcade boards and allowing ROMs of games to be run.

OpenBOR and Mugen are user content centric applications. They have nothing what so ever to do with emulation.

I can understand it since some websites who displays tons of bor mods and mugen games, sometimes compiled use to name it emulators.
But as DC said, they are not. even if finally you use it to play games.

About your settings, adding a screenpack is most of the time replacing files in data folder with the new ones and declare it on mugen.cfg or something.
In fact, all screenpacks are different some overwrite files, some have own folder, so the way to install it may differ a lot.
I sugest you to make save of you original files before to add any screenpack/addon.

Also, most of screenpacks have a txt file to explain how this specific motif have to be installed.

Good luck.

Ok guys thanks for your help and yes nedflandeurse i thought these where emulators as they are on different sites as emulators so i did not know. Thanks for telling me they are not emulators but applications and thanks to Damon caskey aswell

hi Robert.

As DC told, Mugen is not an emulator, is an engine.

To add a screenpack, in most cases, you just make a folder for it under DATA folder and call it, by editing the system.def file. Take a look at Elecbyte site: http://elecbyte.com/mugen
