Need Help Tweaking BOR

I'm having trouble under the models.txt and levels.txt. I've read the guide online of what I need to do, but whenever I make the changes, It crashes my BOR. The things I'm trying to do are:

under models.txt
versusdamage 0
and
under levels.txt
lives 9
credits 9

I'm working with the "basic" bor mod for the pc as well as the ps2. So what am I doing wrong? If someone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

I did. It worked with theirs but not with the original bor I had. I was wondering that it's either the basic version doesn't allow that or I'm just doing something wrong with the coding. When I play it on ps2, I don't even have the options under the menu that I have on the pc. It's very frustrating...

IIRC, versusdamage 0 is not for original BoR
So you can't use that if your mod is designed for PS2

Sorry, I haven't heard any news about ported OpenBoR to PS2
