scrolling fglayer help

I could have sworn that you could make the fglayer scoll in a stage but i forgot how.. I read the manual  and saw all the things that go after the fg layer

fglayer {path} {z} {xratio} {zratio} {xposition} {zposition} {xspacing} {zspacing} {xrepeat} {zrepeat} {transparency} {alpha} {watermode} {amplitude} {wavelength} {wavespeed} {bgspeedratio}

I tried to change some of the things in it like bgspeedratio and some others but it didn't seem to make it move.. Im trying to get a simple fog to scroll from left to right and repeat. Thanks for the help and sorry for the stupid question.

Setting bgspeedratio is correct, however you also need to set bgspeed command to autoscroll the background
If you don't want to main background to autoscroll, just cover it with either panel and/or bglayer. that will give illusion of background not moving

Or vbgspeed for vertical scroll.  Or both too!!
