I played yesterday with a friend, and we laughed a lot, until stage 4. We played in MANIA without cheats, then, we met the Wrestler Boss (I forgot the name sorry!) 2 minutes = end of 9~10 lives, and we felt that we were done, old and could not play anymore  :o

Ok we started cheats after beating him, reestarted laughing and ended the game using maybe 80 lives...So, i really don't know if it is supposed to be like that, if it is well..cheats on  ;D

Wrestler: high hp, counters twice, does not take combos more then 2 hits (show his breasts xD), combo you with hit + super + rage, he was more tough than shiva, 10 lives to beat him

Uranium: comes with 4, each hit equals 35% life, so much hp, and after you kill the 4 as bosses, you start another path...guess what? Comes a Wrestler + 5~6 uraniums together ! Is it supposed to be like that? hahaha

Commom enemies: after they fall, they eat the food before even getting up, i don't know but maybe is too fast, that is impossible to prevent, he is "invunerable" while eating, but with the sprite still on floor/getting up

Jets/rockets: i hate them and always did hahaha

Shiva is...well...i really don't know how to put it, impossible

All bosses: using toooooo much Rage Skills, shivas uses 3 in 10 seconds, wrestler and boxing man i think was more than that

Partners: I can only usel Axel, can't change on the menu, he is using Special only to crack barrels and stuff, also he can leave the screen as if it was an enemy, and can hit the enemies and you can't see him while it (kinda of funny) but he intends to come back after a while to the screen!

Thanks again, this is just a feedback of a fan who happend to play on MANIA with a friend and tried hard, but only until Stage 4 we were!

Hello badstapp

I played in mania difficult and really need some adjustments, like Uranium or Jet health and the spawned quantity. However, I tested Abadede (the Wrestler) and had no problems fighting against him. I recorded a video to show the fight:

Like Abadede, all bosses have some weakness and you will need to explore them, especially in mania difficult. For example, if you use aerial special he can't avoid it (show his breasts xD).

Shiva is very hard to beat, but have some weakness and is not impossible  ;D

All rage moves need energy to use. You can fill energy hitting your opponents or getting hit by them. If the bosses are hitting you constantly, they will fill the energy more quickly and use rage moves more times. You can use dodge or counter to avoid and force them to spend rage moves uselessly.

And about the enemies taking your food, the trick is to not broke all obstacles during the fight. It will save your food from enemies who will steal it.

I didn't mention something.  I don't know exactly how it occured but when a certain button ('start', maybe) of both players is set with the same joypad button and once a player is chosen, the route can't be chosen. I mean the selection stage sequence appears but then disappears directly and the player is front of the final boss (the robot). Thus I get all the extras of the game like that before really playing the game. (Shame on me ^^')

Another thing I'd like to talk about is the Rebellion mode. I appreciate the idea, of course, but most of enemies are just too limited to be played with. IMO only bosses would deserve an effort to give them some new moves to make them perfect players. If you're interested in it, I could think about working on it.
 
Shinmrgrill: Predator/Tracker is a Game Gear Boss, replacing Vehelits in this version. I suggested a long time ago to add an alternate SOR2 stage 3 route (named Tracker's Lair). this character will be updated with a Falcon Drone rage attack when I've got time:)

16-bit Fighter: I plan to make complete characters, even with Donovan and Galsia, starting with my Kid Chameleon wip character:

With a face swap and some sprite rework, you can have  a good playable character. Elle is a complete playable character too from Electra enemy.
You can send me a pm if you are interessed in working on some enemy character.

According to you feedback, maybe it occured because you accidentally pressed "left" button at the "select mode screen" and it will change the stage to "sor3_st8e", that corresponds to the last stage from SOR3 route (Robot). You will have a quick enter in the route screen but can't move the player to desired route.

About Rebellion mode, I'm glad you liked it. Is a "for fun :) " mode only, not for serious gameplay. The initial idea is to add a different way to play SOR from the original enemies perspective and create a new challenge, like to complete the game with Galsia  ;D
However, I'm testing a new mode to add the best "custom characters" made by another modders, but nothing confirmed yet.

We can test the Tracker and another characters after finish SOR1 content. The master system and other SOR official content are not discarded, but I need to finish some corrections and adjusts yet. Now I'm testing the new 1.9 version that add a selectable "Jump Type" from all SOR games and a "restore bar" for special moves, like focus in SF4.

 
The idea of fully playable Galsia, Donovan, etc. is awesome. Ever since I saw how well Elle turned out in SoR Remake I've been wishing ALL enemies could get a simlar treatment, especially in things like this. I just always figured it'd be way too much work given how little sprites you have to work with ^^"

I always wanted the bosses to be fleshed out too, like some of them could easily make playable characters if they just had the missing moves added. Zamza was always one I felt like this.

This project is still one of the best Streets of Rages fangames I've seen since Remake and from the looks of it it's only going to get better :) Especially with stuff like Zan and the Streets of Rage 1 stuff being added.

It would be really nice to have alternate costumes/forms for the characters like in Remake though. I really HATE the SoR 3 sprite designs for the main characters lol. SoR 1 Blaze was always my favourite ^^" (again though I realize this would be way too hard to do).
 
Psykai: SOR1 Blaze is on my list because it's a SOR1 boss too (SOR1 Blaze is my favorite character and Max for SOR2 :) ). Any help for character recoloration is welcome.

That's great news ^_^ I look forward to playing her again. I always hated how she was really acrobatic and had cooler looking back attack and jump attack in SoR 1 but then became kind of generic in SoR 2 and 3, combined with the less interesting outfit.

For the character recolouration is it basically making palettes for her? If so I'd be happy to give it a shot ^_^ I've done some palette work on a couple other projects here and there.
 
I just saw the thread about 'if SoR 4 was in OpenBOR' and it got me thinking how awesome it would be if the redesigns for Axel, Blaze and Adam, and the new character Cherry, were recreated in SoR 2/3's pixel art form and added as additional characters for this project, since it's a combination of all the SoR games and technically there's now an extra one. I feel like it would be way too much work though to sprite all that though ^^"  It would be kinda fascinating to see these designs in the retro style, especially Cherry since she's a brand new character.

I've been playing this game quite a bit lately (had tons of fun playing Rebelion Mode with Monalisa yesterday) and I think this has already been mentioned but the routes could really use some kind of label. I was trying to do a purely SoR 2 route, got to Stage 8, and then when the choices appear, the one that points upwards seems to be pointing at the elevator, where you would normally expect to go to fight Mr X, so I went to that one, and it turned out to be the Dr Dahm lab route and kinda spoiled my run ^^" I think we need the game's logos to be displayed over the route or some kind of title for what stage it leads to to avoid that happening, though I think that's something that's already being fixed?
