Nice work with the cutscenes!

Taking in consideration that Adam is a playable character in Sor 2x, i took out the frames where adam is chained to the wall
In fact, I made both Adam and Zan in Sor 2x as bonus characters, this is why they are locked at the first time playing the game.
Sor 1 (and Sor 3 too)  route will be added as a bonus content too, like an extension of the Sor 2 game. However, I'm thinking about changing the game's name after all Sor 1 content is finished, maybe a few things in the history too.

Currently the main history is based on the Sor 2 original history, but you can change that if you prefer. Also, I'm working on some new features to make the translation faster and easier than before.

Thanks!!

Im doing something similar to SORR. They added Adam in all the cutscenes as if he was never captured and all campaigns are hapenning in the present.
And as im using SORR cutscenes for all the stages of the sor 2 route, it would be silly and strange seeing Adam captured in the ending XD

About the translation, after i finish the cutscenes i will stay in "stand by" mode until you release the new version, so i complete the translation of all the text of the game with the new release

Thanks for spending time to make translations easier ¨¨

There is a guy that is modifyng Streets of Rage remake. It seems unnoficial but perhaps we could get something good from it.

If you try the quickbms script i posted  some comments ago in sor maker mods, the sprites of the stages are all good, the bugged stage sprites only happens if you try to unpack the original "sor.dat" of SORR.

If the guy releases that "SORR 5.2" version, perhaps the "sor.dat" of that version will not have the "secret protection" that the original "sor.dat" has.

If he releases it, we need to try again with the new "sor.dat" of this unnoficial version.

This is the best Street of Rage for OpenBOR, I thought it was as good as Remake.

When you upgrade with SoR1 levels and enemies it will be even better.

I consider it the definitive version of SoR in Openbor so far.

Gameplay wise is better than SORR already.
All the new gameplay mechanics that kratus added fit with the original games very well. After you play Sor 2x , you dont want to return to the originals or SORR.

The thing is the ammount of content available, but that is just a matter of time. Openbor being open source benefits the addition of a lot of content from different people.
And kratus has the intention to work in this for a few more years. (if nothing bad happens)

I just finished the game on the SoR2 route and really after playing this version of Kratus it is difficult to return to the original games.

The work he did on the OpenBor engine was excellent because until then it is more faithful to the original game than the other versions that is out there.

My question is how to release those special moves that the character leaves red shadows, what is the combination?

Bosses attack me all the time with these special moves and I don't know how to execute.

You can do them in two ways:

"Down"-"foward" + "energy" button

Or "energy + special" buttons at the same time.

You need to have three stars to be able to make the rage moves

remember that you can block attacks and counter them.

Wow, I never thought that it could happen due to the content protection. Maybe this guy has some access to the source code, or maybe he can be the Bomberlink itself using a different username... Let's wait to see what he can do. But it can help us about the SORR content.

Thanks buddy! I'm always trying to do my best in this game, and I have a lot of support from the Chrono Crash members. The credits go to all of them too  :)

16-bit Fighter
What does the attribute SKILLS exactly mean please?
It's an overall statistic about all character moves, is the only attribute who will not affect anything in the game mechanic. Basically it means variety, accuracy and efficiency. For example, Blaze has more skill points than Axel because she has more moves using weapons and is better using some attacks, like projectiles.

Kratus  I can't wait for the SoR1 content. It's my favorite in the series and Sor1 Blaze is my fave to play. Are you waiting to try and get remake sprites of the SoR1 cast or do you have another source?

Works well done like this deserve to be recognized, since SEGA does not want to invest in quality remasters, it should hire you, Bombergames and everyone involved in these projects so that the fans themselves can make quality remasters as they did with Sonic Mania.

His work with SoR 2X reminded me a lot of the remasters of an old game called Turok that they brought back with several useful improvements both in visual and gameplay without losing the essence of the original.

Yes, I want to play in SOR1 stages too :)
I have some sources provided by kimono and other Chrono Crash members. But in fact I'm finishing a few things before, because during the SOR1 content creation the game will not have any update for a few months.

Wow, do you want to start the sor1 update? That's very exciting

Will this SoR1 update be the possibility to choose the path as we have at the beginning of the game or will it be an additional bonus between the multiple paths?

Speaking of running animations, two types of run cycles are made by the authors of Bare Knuckle VI (Openbor).
Here are the sprites:

The character archive:

The  Super Shiva SOR3 (bare torso) is very cool too; I think that one day I will make a color separation (skin, hair, outfit) of this character too :).
You have unpacked Bare Knuckle VI (final version)? I need locations and sprites of enemies (for example, dismembering Donovans, Garnets and Garsias with a sword, or chopping off Jack's head)

The game gear stage looks pretty good taking in consideration the origin of the sprites (game gear asset) ,  "Kimono" and "Cajnatalie" made a really good job.

I like how the stage select looks, more informative than before.

And the charge indicator let you focus on other things while you are fighting until its ready to use.

Edit:

New cutscene.

Taking in consideration that Streets of Rage 2x unify the two routes of the original Sor 3, i decided to cut the original stage 6 cutscene in two.

The first part plays when you complete stage 6:

And the second part plays when you finish stage 7.

This would be after beating the false general (robot shiva) and getting ready to go to the robot factory.
Like in the previous one, taking in consideration that Adam is a playable character in Sor2x, i changed Adam with the Cop that saves them in the ending of the Sor 3 route.
And put a part of the stage 7 as the background.

Sor 1 content

Man, an epic find:

ALL the sprites of SORR V5 (stages, characters, objects, ALL)  without those shitty dots everywhere:

Give it a look if im not mistaken.

Neat find! Kratus would have to ask permission from BomberGames, though.

On a side note, separating the stages into further layers for parallax scrolling would be great. ELECTR0 did this for his open-source Barbon's Alley stage.

Well, in any case, after kratus finish with sor 1 content and start to focus on adding characters made by other users, he can add the Sorr characters and if one day, bomberlink ask to take out the Sorr characters, kratus took them out and problem solved.

I asked bomberlink about this in different pages this year and he never answer

I feel like asking first would result in less heartbreak and controversy. Also, what if the characters had victory poses? Does anyone want to try and downscale the SOR4 characters into original 16-bit style, too?
