I just thought of it! On that scene where April fights the punks, she doesn't really have to take them down. I can create a branch that will spawn right on top of the manhole but it will not spawn right away so you just have to hang in there until it does.

the enemies could have random walking speed, so they can't bunch up so much.

All those ideas sound like promising options.  I like the idea of evading until an exit open ups.  In the cartoon episode, the pre-mutated Rocksteady is the only one who tries to charge April initially, so I was thinking you could even try to make all the thugs but Rocksteady into NPC like Vernon and the cameraman in that scene.  If you really wanted to be clever, you could have the NPC thugs harass the NPC newsteam.

she could simply disable/stun them with attacks, so one hit knocks them on their butt, keeps em dizzy a moment, giving you a chance to flee.  So it's more about self defense and avoiding damage.  Enemies could do strong damage to compensate, so the aim is just to clear the area to avoid loosing lives and starting over.

from what oldmanwinters said I was thinking, rocksteady could be the first enemy active, the others can remain passive at first, once rocksteady takes enough damage they can all give chase, then make it so one hit can knock them down, rocksteady can have different forms, so the first form is more like a boss fight, then the next is just for the escape afterwards.

One of the guys in the background, not Vernon, is not a cameraman but one of the guys that April interviews in the first episode of the show. I already created a branch in the manhole but I was thinking that I like the idea of April fighting the whole gang. Also, April can escape through a street drain grate instead of a manhole and then the cutscene where she says "I must really be into something hot" can be played after she escapes, already in the sewers so it would be closer to the scene in the show. Like BeasTie said, Rocksteady can be the first active enemy and the other ones join in afterwards. Thanks a lot for the ideas guys  :)!

Ah, yes, I had forgotten whether that guy with the funny hair was a Channel 6 reporter or just a guy who got interviewed on TV!  I was always curious how many Channel 6 staff persons worked in that huge skyscraper building they had to operate! Seems like April was the only employee who did any real foot-work for them in addition to working the anchor desk on occasion.

Lol, dude. I haven't watched that show in quite some time. I started watching it recently "only" to have a reference but not just to enjoy it. Yeah, it seems that every time there was an episode where they showed the Channel 6 building they would have different "extras".

I wouldn't be surprised if their staff had a high turnover rate, considering all the weird stuff that happened to their city.  Even April and Irma only survived all those episodes because of her ties to the Turtles, so it makes you wonder how many reporters weren't so lucky to get by with a little help from their friends.  What a nightmare for their Human Resources department!

So, this a "more complete" version of the Turtle Tracks level based on the first episode of the 1987 series for my OpenBOR game. It is obviously "not identical" but it's pretty close. I did change a few things and added some cutscenes but, I still need more (cutscenes) in between the different parts of the level so that they feel more connected. These cutscenes are taking me WAY longer that I had anticipated but, I will finish them regardless. Here's  a link to the video:

Ah, very cool to see a storyline lifted directly from the first episode! Good job!

So, remember that "Snowy Central Park" level from TMNT2 NES? If you do, you know once you defeat Tora at the end of the level the turtles destroy the weather device. Then a cutscene is played where one of the turtles says: "Spring is Here". Well, this level is based on that cutscene. It still needs a lot of work but feedback is ALWAYS appreciated. Also, Bloodsucker is the level"s Boss. I hope you like it!! Here's the link to the video:

Argh!  I'm getting a "Video is private" message at the link.

I do love that "Spring is Here" cutscene though!

What i can say with all good mods its funny we look at a project and go oh this will be super easy it shouldn't take me longer than a week or so lol.. Then you go into the game and realize all the things that need to be improved and it goes from being a remake into something way better lol :P  Im sure that is what happen with you and your game first it was a recolor then it became so much more can't wait...

@Dog Unlimited: Gracias!  :) Todavía no he pensado en agregar a HotHead.

Thanks!! I haven't thought about adding HotHead yet. I don not know the character too well. If I add him I'm most likely not gonna use his sprites from NES Tournament Fighters, his head is too big. I'm probably gonna do some research and then "IF" I do add him I'm gonna make my own sprites.

@esn23: Thanks so much!  :) Yeah, the whole project started as a request from a friend. I usually like using my own sprites but I ended up doing this because it was the perfect excuse  to FINALLY learn how to use OpenBOR and having to make your own sprites can take WAAY longer. The thing is, once I started using the sprites I could't just leave them the way they were, I wanted to recolor them. Then I saw mersox's Rescue Palooza and it looked so beautiful that it made me wanna add some shading to the sprites. Then a friend told me he found some Human Bebop and Rocksteady sprites and that it would be cool to include them in the game, so I did. But then I wanted to have the whole gang so I started working on the other members, from scratch. And then I started adding other levels, playable characters so I had to rename the project, AGAIN. Man, that ended up being longer than expected.

Not bad, man. Looking at fighting with Bloodsucker made me think he needs challenge. The spring stage looks very beautiful. So you're doing it in sequence. For example, after you finish with the snow stage and destroy the weather device, you can go with the spring stage.

YES!! Right after you defeat Tora there will be a cutscene where the turtles destroy the weather device and then this level will be next.

Sorry, maxman but I didn't get the Bloodsucker part.  :-\
