I saw that video and the result were pretty good. I wished they had released that game back on that time 
Looks like they wanted to do everything at once, fps, platformer , racing and isometric, it looks like they did not had a vision or genre for this game, its hard to make movie into a game , maybe if it would be kinda like SOR but more bicycle levels and maybe racing from time to time...
Platformer levels look the best , other levels look average, they wanted to release game that does it all but in the end it was undecided demo without story.
I wanted to add racing top view levels to he-man but i realized that it decreased the value of the game too much, it just felt wrong, having ability to make certain game does not warrant it to adapt it to every story, sometimes it just doesnt fit and akira game with just racing like road rash would be wasted opportunity.
Its no wonder it got canceled.
It could of been so much better if they would stick to 1 or 2 genres at max.

Out of the Vortex is an unreleased 1993 beat em up game on Genesis based on a superheroes comic series :
4 characters are playable and the game has some nice backgrounds.

@16-bit Fighter: I'm glad that you like these sprites. If you try to rip them ( backgrounds and characters ), can you host them somewhere too please?

Yes, it would be nice to share if I ripped something. It would just require another method, more conscientious than the I did before just for myself. That said, I'll propably not rip any prototype source before a long time, I think, because I'm making a pause in my known project in order to start another one. At this stage I feel I need to learn with a more simple project instead of focus on too many things.
