I just looking guy run anim ff3 version and found this (last 2 frames)

I think it's something like run stop, do we have something similar to implement here?

The sprite you refer to is a back dash. In FF3 you had the ability to back dash like a vs. fighter. Cool idea, and it's something I implement in all of my personal projects, but the command mapping they used was way too complex to bother with in actual gameplay.

Anyway, OpenBOR does not have a native run stop or a back dash. You can implement either of them using script, but we'll need to know exactly how you want it to work first.

I was also looking for something like this. I wanted some kind of slide animation to play when I stop running. I thought the engine had it by default. I'm sure it was me convincing myself that I saw it in the manual lol.
