The game has a slight bug; whenever I try to select my character, the game doesn't start/allow me to continue

This one is strange because I can select any character and play normally, as well as many other playthroughs I see. I need more details to understand better.
Currently playing android version, excellent SOR game here, with varieties of characters to select and I can set the gameplay settings as my own desire, the only thing I'm waiting is the gamepad settings, my bluetooth gamepad doesn't work on this game, I tried restarting my phone and my gamepad bluetooth and it's still the same

That 3-star Rage attack is PERFECT now! Still a few issues to address. Namely, the rumble seems to get stuck and constantly rumbles. I'm not sure if it's anything that can be fixed, but it's workable. Also...

I don't mind a combo to use the Cop Call function, but, at the the way I play, I have the Extra button to the left bumper and set to use the Back Attack feature. Unfortunately, I've triggered the SOS attack too often. I think it should be either remappable for the combo and/or to a less-used combo like Extra+Defense.

Don't get me wrong, you have an AMAZING game here already! It's so much fun! But I want to help it be the best it can be, so I do have to at least point things out. :)

I didn't understand the "rumble" issue... Can you please give a few more details? We can talk about it in the SORX forum topic, maybe a video can help me to understand.
About the Cop Call I can think about other ways to use it, thanks for the suggestion.

I have come back to this with Beta 30 and I stand by what I said back in August. This is on par with Streets of Rage 4 as a package. In some ways, it actually outdoes that game. The mechanics connect well and are polished to a sheen!

...Except for a few parts. The 3-Star Super Attack is the main issue I have. For one, it's hitbox feels too small. At least with Axel, it LOOKS like it hits enemies in a circle, but it doesn't. The second issue is that, if I've grabbed an enemy, I can't use said attack. Paired with the hitbox issue and the foes moving around, it has always felt too janky and unreliable to use consistently.

One thing I personally would like to see is a Composite Video filter. The heavy amounts of dithering on the original hardware was because of the 61 simultaneous colour palette out of a max of 512 possible colours. So Composite Video blended a dithered picture to either make more colours or allow transparency, which the Genesis is not natively capable of.

Thanks for the report. About the points:

- Rage attack hitboxes: they are following the sprite size with some small increment depending on the character's movement. Plus you can easily connect any rage using the cancelling system.
Specifically for SOR3 Axel, this was developed to be a frontal attack, not a circular or expansive attack like SOR4 Axel. As a suggestion using Axel, you can easily connect a "ground upper" with the rage move by simply pressing the energy button while the "ground upper" is hitting the opponent. It's safe and very effective.
For the next beta 31 I already added the hitbox size a bit for the SOR3 Axel rage, but it stays as a frontal attack only.

- Rage attack during grabs: this feature was added for the next beta 31.

- Composite Video filter: Since this is related to the engine, unfortunately there's not much I can do at the moment. Sorry friend.
hi kratus, congratulations on your fantastic work. I would like to ask you if you will reintroduce the 2x collision effects, perhaps selectable from the options menu, and if Axel and Adam will also be able to do the aerial grab in the next updates. It seems to me that for now only Blaze and Sammy can do it. Thank you

About the collision effects I replaced them because they are from Capcom games and unfortunately don't match with the SORX proposal, which is having a look closer to the classics. About the aerial grab, I added it as an exclusive advantage for Blaze/Sammy due to balance purposes, plus they are based on some original unused sprites which only they have.
