I wanted to create some default morlock enemies to fight with the real morlocks so I made these guys they are just default basic morlocks, I also wanted to put other sewer traps in the sewer so here is a mock up...  Should get to coding them soon.

Hahaha the guys from fighting masters? Cool. The blonde girl is the base for Mocking Bird on my game, and in use some of them as enemies in a stage :)

However, allow me to share this good news! I got inspiration on how to code Polaris and finally I got it right :D


Since I can't figure out decent way for her to find closest platform or wall to drop Wolverine to, I decided to just let her drop Wolverine in mid air. Don't worry though, player can move him to left or right as shown to move him to safety
Speaking of safety, I also limit this ability by reducing Wolverine's health everytime he falls to hole. The video shows that he'll eventually dies if he keeps falling  ;)

As for the latter, you need to learn script. There are two ways to prevent death from falling to hole, either with onmoveascript or with ondeathscript. The example above is using the former

The only thing I think its weird is Namor. The train is going fast and he comes from the opposite site and fills the whole screen with water?

Not much more to do before the demo is released, right now im going though and clearing out all the errors of the game like missing sound files and such.. Doing re balancing coding morlocks, once its all done all blood needs to do when he has time is code the missing helpers and sentinel stage and add some frosting onto some things. But once the re balance is done should come out with another video.. Also bug testing needs to be done once its ready before release :P  The idea with Namor was going back to the old school games with the huge summons lol.. Don't ask me where the water comes from lol but when it does he leads an army of dolphins to save the day lol..
 
So some progress, in these shots we see better lighting for the levels, I have created custom lights for all the levels from scratch and they turned out great.  All the chars are balanced out except wolvie and beast (still working on them)..  About half the morlocks are coded, will finish the rest a bit later.  Reworked the lifebars to have different colors for health, gave all enemies ports and such.  Some fx have been replaced with better ones.. :P  BTW the first enemy boss stage is coded.. Each boss will have their own room for a great and fun exp.. The first level boss room is done, its the top of the rooftop stage where you will be attacked by a lot of sentinels before facing off against a super sentinel :P So yea that's what I worked on.  I am now focused on a how to play screen as well as the other boss rooms.  Thanks to all that are interested in the project.

Thanks for your kind words, I think part of the problem in the commercial marvel games is they always leave good chars out or change their powers and make them weaker than they are in comics..  I always want to play as emma frost every time a marvel game is released and she is never there :P  I just hope people like where I am going with this game's story because 2 very popular Xmen will die or turn evil half way through the story :P

I so agree. But this is thanks to the freedom we, independent coders, have when making a game. A commercial game is a very different thing...

Because comics characters are broken per se. Its hard to ballance something unballanced. Characters changes A LOT based on who is writing that comic.

Where you read "edited" it means "stolen". Most of cases, people remove the original credits and say its "their" work,
 
Thanks O i put a comment on his youtube.. If people want to steal assets from games not even released then they are dumb.. I would have probally made him a title screen for his mugen game if he asked but what he did was shady and i have no clue which forum he stole this from.. I guess the only thing i can do from the time being is not post any more progress till the game is done or watermark the crap out of everything.. Let me guess the guy is from mmv?
