Project is completed.
So I did this. It's on the attachments and it has its own palette.
It's not so hard to do it, I used Mugen Fighter factory to set everything up.

Hey hey! These lifebars are looking good Kurusu, i'll put them into good use, thanks again!
 
Here's how it works:
Circle is the portrait of the characters.
Up is for the HP, down for MP.

Thanks, I use something similar on my mod too. I always had a knack on how MUGEN uses different lifebars and few people do the same on BOR.
 
Hey guys it's me Jeremiah Cuff, (Sighs.) Sorry that I haven't been able to add anymore updates for the Dungeon Magic Mod as well as posting the link for the said freeware beat em up. I have been very busy struggling to find a job lately and I am testing out the mod's final touches including playing through the levels, but due the game mysteriously crashing during my test play, i have no choice but to delay the mod's release until i can sort this situation out. No hard feelings to everyone at Chrono Crash, but i will get this problem out the way in no time.  :(

Thank you so much for showing your concern monroejo88, i'll do what i can to fix this problem that my mod has been experiencing as well as taking care of my life situations also. But don't worry i'll keep you guys posted until then!
 
I found out that openBOR is pretty sensitive to the format GIFs are stored. don't know if that's the case, but GIF version 87a works best, if get that option.

what does your log file say?

Sorry for reply so late kzr, I haven't gotten to that at the moment because I am working on other projects and stuff. But I will show the OpenBOR Log of Dungeon Magic eventually though.
 
Well my brothers and sisters, this is it. I managed to fix that bug on my mod that I was talking about in a post of this thread two weeks ago, and now I decided to release the Dungeon Magic freeware beat em up early this morning with both the mod folder and the separate PAK. file serving as the downloadable links. If you're experiencing problems playing this mod, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll do what I can to fix some of the problems to make the PAK. file run more smoothly. With all said or due, you guys enjoy yourselves!!  ;)

Nice bro! I wish I could come over to join in on the fun, but I live at the United States and that so far away from where you live at in Europe. But oh well, i'll find ways to have fun with this mod lol.  :P

I will try to give him a hand on that issue. I have some other suggestions to give him.

hey mate;) short feedback...all in one we had a lot of fun with your mod last night...we are big fans of that D&D type games...i played ashton most of the time... thats my character in this game:-) the special moves looks and feels good when you smash an enemy down with it. we try to figure out if there is a block/guard button somewhere hiding?...keep up the great work!
 
Hi Jeremiah Cuff I gave yout game a quick try. From what I saw, there are a lot of room for improvements, specially size wise.

- There are a lot of clutter on the folders. You have GIF and PNG duplicates for frames. If you are using GIF, you can delete the PNG ones. Its just waste of space

- Avoid using .BOR files, they are way bigger than .OGG. The only .BOR file you still need is remix.bor (since the engine still needs it).

- The pain animation of many enemies are weird. Take a look at wolfman /lizardman and check what I did. Whenver you make an enemy to shake (which gaves a more impact feeling), make it quickly, like with delay of 3.

- The attacks lacks Z depth. I gave some depth to wolfman, lizardman and Ashton attacks.

- Some attacks can knockout the players. I've changed some attacks of wolfman and Lizardman. Also, gave them some recovery time by adding a frame at the end of the attack and making the delay of the last attack frame big

- Fixed Wolfman fall animation. Wrong direction and bad axis

- The are wrong axis everywhere. I've fixed some axis in Wolfman and Ashton.

- Ashton special now makes him turn and knocks down the enemies.

- Ashton attack 4 is quicker now. Whenever you have a tail effect on swords and such, make it pretty quick


I hope you like what I did. You can follow the logic to other characters. Also, you need to remove the shadows from some characters
