Canceled Dungeons & Dragons UPDATE

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
hum, Checking the video, I spotted two things:

1- Wizard is walking too fast
2- The walk animation is too slow compared to his velocity

Ilusionista,
We have 2 different 'modes' --- dungeon/wilderness combat and city mode.  All our characters walk faster than normal in city mode, because otherwise it would be boring having to get from one end of the city to the other, especially on your 35th trip to go buy something or go talk to the King etc.

We'll see what we can do, good eye!  It's possible I had his walk speed set higher than it is now when I made that vid as well.  But trust me, you don't want them walking too slow in the cities:)

It's close to be finished well I have to do very in-depth review on it when its released.
You and Bloodbane are doing a superb job on the game.

I couldn't find those items, so I spent a lot of time yesterday sprite editing to create them.  All this talk of HeroQuest inspired me to try and create furniture like from the board game.
So far I made:  Alchemy Table, Sorcerer's Table, Bookcase, Weapons Rack.

If you guys can think of any other cool stuff that already exists in MUGEN stages or any other game that would be great.
iff you make the  furniture  a bit smaller you  can add more on sreen or resize but still good  ;D is thar iny Skeleton men in the game ?or do you need me to look for sume? good work bro no ones ever add hero quest to openbor

Hey Spider, the problem with making the furniture any smaller is that it gets blurry and pixilated.  I wish OpenBOR drawmethod worked like MUGEN but alas it doesn't.

We have 2 kinds of skeleton warriors -- the one's from D&D Capcom and also the ones from Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder (arcade) so we're good on skellies:)

the fireplace looks amazing.
I know it's probably a mock-up of the scene, but I'm gonna say it anyway. Unless it's blocking the Fighters passage, it should be a little bit behind him, right? :P

Jousting mini game looks fun. Is it just a form of getting extra gold, or is there a story reason for participating?

The scene with the fireplace was a quick mock-up, I'd normally put it higher up so its against the wall.

Bloodbane did a great job with the jousting - I just finished testing it.
It's a form of getting extra gold (or losing gold) and also having something to do after the main story quest is completed.  Right now we're thinking it's also how you'll unlock the Cavalier playable character.
You don't have to participate in it, it's just there for variety.  There's a war going on, so in terms of story the joust is just something to entertain the citizens and take their minds off of things.
Here's a video:

Fantastic!
Maybe you can have a side quest introduce the game of jousting, and if you win you unlock the cavalier. After that, you can joust anytime.

But I have a serious question: what happens if there's more than one player?

For player 2, take a peek at the photo Bloodbane posted above - you can see the other player spectating.

The Hippodrome (gladiator arena) and jousting will be available even after the game is beaten, and if you need money you can visit them anytime.  We'll also have dungeons that remain open (after you've cleared them out and done the story objectives) and when you return they'll have random enemies and treasure.  So between that and random encounters, you'll still be able to use your characters after all quests are finished.  I always hate it when I finally have all the good spells and weapons, and then the game ends and you can't enjoy them.

So want to play this now and play all chars especially the Wizard and the Knight. After you guys finished the DD game, are you still going to update the GI J.O.E. mod as well?

Hanzo, I want you to be able to play this ASAP too!  We're doing the best we can but the finish line is in sight.  It's actually my fault it's taking longer, because I'm insisting we add unlockable characters like the Bard and Cavalier:P

As for GI JOE, yes sir, the updates on that are almost finished.  I believe we just have to update Snake Eyes sprites, and add a couple tweaks to the Red Shadows mission.  We could probably release both games almost at the same time, it won't take long to get GI JOE ready once D&D is done.
