Forum Theme Alert

Im not here to complain,

honestly my eyes are definitely failing me, I can't read the forums anymore or work on openbor, because it's all text editing...  I have trouble on other forums too that use dark backgrounds but have yellow text.  I can't work on spriting for very long anymore either....some might notice i never use hot pink as background colour...  it burns my eyes.

I'm struggling just to make this message :(

I've been trying various dark themes in windows 7, and tweaking my own,  but I can't seem to find something that works...  I'd really like something that will look like new photoshop, dark style, easy to stare at.  Anyone have some suggestions ?
 
This topic has been here for over a year and I've never noticed it until now(Then again, I was gone for quite a while). Anyway, I'm cool with anything, and I doubt donating money will be an issue, I spent most of this yea buying steam games on sale out the ying yang.

With that said, I have been noticing some things messing up lately, namely the avatars. In certain topics, avatars with just "?" marks have a weird effect on comments, making topics and comments hard to read, or even follow. Also lately, people's Avi's have stopped loading completely, I haven't even seen mine all week, and it bugs me because I use that Knuckles Avi for a reason(Sega butchering him in the games and making him worse in Sonic Boom. The comics are the only media where Rad Red is treated with dignity).

If I didn't need another reason to dump SMF, spammers have obviously discovered another exploit in the software. This afternoon Viagra adds and other pointless ilk has started coming in almost faster than I can delete it.

On top of that, I noticed that some avatars have been lost, including my own, and I had to restore the engine area of downloads from a backup earlier today.

Soon as I get moved I'm setting up a donation box to finance some professional software. If everyone here contributes something like a dollar a month it should take care of it and maybe a better host too.

It figures! Even the donation system doesn't work right these days. Oh well, I'll keep at it. In the meantime, I did find a new theme that is responsive. It could use a bit of work still IMO, but isn't buggy like our last one - least as far as I can tell.

I normally like dark themes, but the soft colors are starting to grow on me.
 
I don't think utunnels got banned or anything. It's probably the machines (dunno what but something that wipe some people's posts/topics off) that cause that. Back in Lavalit, it happened with some people's accounts that get like that. Dunno why.
 
The theme looks nice, though I might say the colors are just too bright for me, although maybe just because it's just been newly themed.

Anyway, I was wondering how Illusionista and some other's avatars didn't gone broke or something? They use the HTML link instead of the upload option?
 
Oh yeah, it really does work, using an external image instead of uploading it. My avatar's in my Imgur account and it did work.
