well, im not a big fan of the older japanese monster movies... unless gozdilla. ;) after watched the old 2004 film or the last one.

well, your work looks amazing. do you created your own sprites for all the chars, or they are taken from arcade games or something? cause they looks impressive!.

if you can do something with a playability or moves so good as the seen on the classic arcade "king of monsters" by snk, then pal this will be an awesome mod for sure.

the idea is very original. cause none did something so good as this yet...

and i know that they are classics chars that belongs the story of the monster movies.

i only will like to make a petition of one monster... KING KONG. i love that one!. with gozdilla is clearly one of my favourites movie monsters.

apart, there was some others chars that really will be awesome as secret characters for this game. creating an awesome kind of "cross over".

since mazinger z, to the power rangers megazord, to sure many other chars that i dont remenber.

for example... a giant spider as seen on that classic clint eastwood movie, to a giant human or women. like these old classic movies and as the giant super heroe appeared on the king of monsters.

not forget to mention too, another of my favourites games of all the times... "rampage" a very very fun-funny game.

so, well, if you like maybe you can try to take some elements from all those jewels, these black and white monster movies, animes or tv series, and games, and do a very very good monsters brawl game... ;)

2 suggestions related with this...

1) do you like the prehistoric isle in 1930 arcade game?
then, watch my bizarre video maked by par codes, where i changed the game ending to a happy ending. hehe ;)

2) you should know this little jewel by locomalito. garoudan. a fangame based on the old 80s arcade games style. where you control a monster destroying the canarias islands on spain.

i also will recomend you too "maldita castilla" ("damned castilla"). as other of their really awesome games.

this one, is based on gouls n ghost, but with the styles or enemies taken from draws and the "amadis de gaula" old chavalry medieval book.

and PLEASE!. dont lost too the aspect of details as the instruction booklet. simply AWESOME!!.

is curious... on spain there is an island named "gomera" instead of "gamera".  ...curiosity only? hehe ;)

i think now i starting to understand, maybe why locomalito set their game "garoudan" on the spain canarias islands. hehe... ;D
 
Thanks for the feedback! A lot of the sprites are taken from other games with a lot of alterations for some, King Kong's already in and playable lol though he's not entirely like the classic, eventually we'll for sure have more crossovers like KotM n' Pacific Rum n' Power Rangers, we definitely wanna have classic movie monsters like the Beast from the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms and many more way down the road.

Awesome we'll check some'a that stuff out!
 
I played the "Attack on Godzilla" last night and loved it!! You know that is a really cool and original idea, It would be neat if King Titan was added to the roster on the 3D Godzilla games. Anyway nice Job!!
 
Sweet I'm glad you liked it!! Thanks it was all my bro-bro's actually lol, yeah that would be cool! I'd love a full-fledged crossover with so many more kaiju n' titans clashing! :D
 
Yeah Godzilla is popular right now. You need to post your game on all of the Godzilla fan sites and with a new Japanese and American Godzilla movie coming out soon there could be some new Kaiju to add to the game.
 
Agreed it's pretty friggin' awesome :D We've posted em' on a decent amount and gotten some feedback n' attention, and oh yeah 2014 Godzilla'll be in hopefully soon along with the new "Shin Gojira" when he's out n' about in theaters :)
 
guys, yesterday i saw on tv "pacific rim". i like the movie, and it makes me tought about wich kind of chars could came on a game like this...

the chars from "rampage", the ones from "kinf of the monsters 1 and 2", some from pacific rim (if there exist any sprites outhere), transformers, mazinger z (a true classic) and some of theirs monsters robots, and... why not? some power rangers too...
maybe from the awesome genesis fighting game. or from the power rangers movie genesis game too.

these are some examples, but there are much more thinking on it... :)
like eightman from neogeo, etc, etc, that can be interesting additions into the game.

but as always, these are suggestions only.

and also, there must exist rips for can do that easily instead of work on the rips.
however, all these chars are famous and cause of that, interesting characters too.

the problem will be how many chars can entered into the game.
even when today openbor allow much more playable chars, there must be a limit for sure that you cannot overpass for broke the game. :P

greetings. and i repeat, i enjoy the film yesterday. it takes me many time can watch it finally, but demons, i liked it.  ;D

on internet i saw many time ago a parody with a giant mazinger z instead of the original jaeger robot, but now i cannot find the damn parody.

oh!, another crazy suggestion i have now...
will be super cool if (i dont know how), you could select too the army.

you know... control different units as tanks, planes, and armed troops, that will try to beat these giant enemies having only at your side a limited bunch of those army vehicles etc for attack. as if they was "lifes".

if not, there exist another crazy method for do it...
the same method shown on metal slug 3 on ps2... the ufo minigame where you control a rebel soldier inside a group of soldiers helping you. all controlled by the cpu.

and now... the last crazy idea. LOL.
this is on the same style, but controlling a super hero like superman.
this will smaller on the screen, but with many super powers and habilities as resistance or power. hehehe  8)

there you have some crazy ideas i haved if you wanted some... ;)

Just got through playing the new 4th demo, great job. This game gets better and better, I will play through the whole game this weekend, but I will say that the balance between player and enemy is much better now. I only played with Mecha-Godzilla though, but so far so good.

Still making progress, just trying to perfect it for final release. My beta testers have been really working hard lately and I want to release the game on Halloween day. I don't like uploading demos again and again, I will release a complete game only when the time comes. The only changes will be extra content (stages, bosses, etc.) in other words I want the game to grow so that it will include old school monsters and current movie monsters. The latest new enemy is from the movie Saw.

Really well done man, the flying bosses are an pain in the ass lol!! And just in perfect timing as Toho is creating an new Godzilla movie as well, good work man looking forward to the final version!!
