Hello, recently I have learned a little about how to create games in openbor looking inside the modules that others have created and I have finished designing a couple of new modules for Openbor, today I´m talking about the first one which is called Guardians of the Requiem, a Small medieval-themed hack slash where you play with a heroine paladin in her fight to defend her lands from an undead invasion with her protector knight.
The game uses material borrowed from many sources, especially Maplestory, Megaman X, Captain Tsubasa, Seiken / Mana saga, etc.

Of course this is a free game which I have created only for hobby and for being a fan of openbor, I hope you like this little project already finished.
You can see a video preview of this video game where the direct download link is, I hope you like my game.
credits to Nick Pizanias for his mod, it was used to recreate this, my first one.

NOTE: A new version (Redux Edition) is now available, get it here.
- Many Bugfixes.
- Added some new animations and upgraded colors in some graphics.
- New modes.
- Added damage view.
- Some backgrounds where redesigned to look better.
- Most important, you can play in 2P Mode with the AI.
Enjoy!

Hi osman, I tested the first level quickly and here are my thoughts:
- The player speed is good, the diving jumpkick is nice and the enemies are killed rapidly
- Use [img ][/img ] for your images on the forum topic
- You can make 2 versions of your game, one in spanish, an international in english
- You can desactivate attack2, 3 and 4 in option menu (menu.txt
Code:
disablekey
or
Code:
renamekey
for renaming your attack
- Maybye you can add a special attack that makes more damage and drain life or mp.

Good work and congrats to manage to finish this game ;)

Unlike the other one, I have to say that for this mod, you really need to balance player's damage output with enemy's HP. With players only have single attack, you should lower enemy's HP to make them die in single hit. Then as game progresses increase enemy's HP slowly.
King of Dragons only give single attack for all heroes (excluding special attack) but the game is not boring cause enemies die quick and bosses don't last long while giving decent challenge. You should use that game as reference :)

Yes, I need to learn more about handling openbor, the pair of mods that I have created so far I have done by learning on the fly.
Regarding the physics and damage system, this is how I originally wanted my game to be, relatively recreating the mechanics of TMNT The Arcade Game (Nes) which consists of the basic enemies (the foots) dying from 2 hits while the bosses take damage but they hit you back so you have to hit and run to have better success and die less.
Slayin mode is inspired by a small video game for pc and mobile called Slayin in the same way, which must kill waves of enemies without stopping until the bosses arrive one after another.
I did not do an international English version since this game does not need it in part since there are no dialogues between characters and the whole plot happens observing the images that appear after passing each stage, anyway, thank you all for play my second mod, I need improve my ideas but at least I took care that this mod did not have bugs that left the game unplayable, enjoy :)

So, uh, you basically took Maplevania and threw your own character into it? Well, everyone has to start somewhere I suppose. :) The good news is that you're learning the basics and will soon find yourself making all sorts of fun games. Welcome to the community!

Hi, a new fixed and upgraded edition of this game has been released today, with many fixes and some new upgrades.
