OK make sense :) Thanks, u did a great game. Btw a tutorial about combos would be nice. i would like to see how to do this supremes combos :)

Thanks, looks ultra complex and hard to remember, i think this is too much for a beat em up, making the moves and comboes easier to execute, would be better... I doubt people have time to learn all this stuff. And its sad beause the game its pure art, all the graphics and moves are amazing.

The beauty of this module is that you can play it like an old-school beat'em up. No need to do these crazy combos.
And you really need a gamepad for these combos anyway. Just charge your power bar often for the special moves and you're good to go.

I'll say it again: awesome game, with great music, solid gameplay, great presentation. Overall Ultimate Double Dragon is high production value.
When you stop playing a AAA game just to fire up your favorite module, just like I did, you know it's exceptional. 🚀

I made the bar to be filled with the style switch to force players learn all styles while playing so they experience the game the way it is, but you can perfectly play and beat the game without all of those moves. You can try some in the training room and get familiar with them, and it's also ok choosing not to. I made all of this and the extra moves to give the most replay value as possible, with the traditional Double Dragon games set of moves so everyone would choose what's the best for everyone.

Edit: Oh and, I might add this is practically a 12+ years in the making Project so people have had plenty of time to get familiar with the style switch combos, heh. It's been a while since I released the concept, that also has helped a lot to those who struggle with complex combos. I simplifyied the Killer Instinct combos as much as I could and I am so happy that people who couldn't ever do a combo in those games domitate them in UDD.

I'm just having fun playing the game got to the last stage Route B and the enemy combinations is a monster! Q, why you try to brutalize us with those combinations lol! Real talk though this game is ten times better than the new Double Dragon game that was out last year even though it look really cool and everything.

Not having a save file for it its not a big deal for me since I grew up on playing Super Double Dragon (it was a Christmas gift for me back in the day) and years later playing the Japanese version made me appreciate the game a lot more even though it was incomplete at that particular time but Q you did the impossible possible by giving this gem a HUGE glow up with new moves, combo systems, adding legacy characters and guest ones, and much more and it took you more than a decade to make this is a true testament of creative freedom in video game making.

Plus the game is just straight fun pure and simple. Thanks for the game and looking forward to the Final Fight Forever project in the future!

Im getting the following error in the UDD 1.1 :
Fatal Error in load_cached_model, file: data/chars/2steve/BSteve.txt, line 3400, message: Error parsing function main of animation script in file '%s'!

Never happened before, in the 0.91 version. The games simply closes, no error message or anything. Anyone experiences something similar? thx

Hi! Congrats on v2.0. Some feedback:

1- I'm glad you fixed the "Video Menu" which was off-center in the previous version. This feels more professional which matters a lot. I wouldn't want someone doubting your modding capabilities, which are awesome by the way ^^,

2- about the movelist that shows up when you do "Block, Up, Up, Down, Down": I've counted maybe 8 screens of those. They're helpful but some might forget about the input to summon the manual. My idea: why not add those 8 screenshots in the module file, in the root directory? This would be very convenient for beginners.

3- a small bug: when you start a game and try to load a save file (I know this game doesn't allow saves ^^) the module hangs up and sends me back to the desktop. If I mention this, it's because I didn't have this bug in the previous versions, I think.

Anyways, apart from point 3, which is a triviality, everything is fine.

2- about the movelist

3- a small bug: when you start a game and try to load a save file

1. I actually cheated on that, haha, since the game uses original SNES screen resolution the video menu was doomed to look like that, so I used the translation option to move the text a bit so it fits in the screen, thanks to Maxman!
2. I will consider this if I make a new version of the game for sure.
3. I can't remember if I allowed saving in the latest version of the Demo, but now since the game doesn't allow them it's a aide effect, tho knows, I don't use the saving option at all.

Thanks for the feedback!

Version 3.0 (final) is out! I added a few extra hard modes for masochists and fixed several stuff. This is the version that will go down on history for Ultimate Double Dragon. See ya in Ultimate Double Dragon + (plus!), whenever that happends after Fight Forever!

This game is a huge game. The action isn't overdone and the combos are quite engaging. I've played other Double Dragon in the past, and from then on, I felt something was out of the ordinary. The level of difficulty is just right, and the absurd handling of the arcade version of Double Dragon is resolved here. Personally, I like mode 3, but I have to select a mode again every time I pass a stage.
Did you create the Abobo sprite yourself? It's very attractive.
