Modules upload

hi everybody!

i've not been here for some time (you know, holydays...) so please forgive me if this question has already been answered. i've tried a little search, but found nothing.

i want to upload all my old mods, since the lavalit links are no more, so at first i've tried to upload my final fight module, with the "upload file" button down my user profile.

it let me choose the file, the category, description etc... but then when i hit the "save" button, it loads for a while, then nothing happens.

the upload doesn't work,? or maybe the moderators should approve it? or it was i that was doing something wrong?

thanks in advance for the answers, and again please forgive me if i've been rendundant.  :)

Sorry, uploads are limited to 2MB IIRC. Working to fix it, but keep getting pulled away. Will try again tonight/tomorrow.

recently found this link to a file hosting site http://uploaded.net/folder/hj5q9z it's hosting several mods and even older builds of the engine

Ugh. I'll see about maybe grabbing some of those and transferring them here as an interim while SX works to get our backups uploaded, but I'll have to pour through each for inserted malware. We try to discourage people from using those free hosted links because inevitably they rot, get lost, go out of date, or end up filled with lord knows what. Plus it's nice to keep a single catalog of the library right here where we can know what's what, update compatibility if needed and so on. Members insist on using them and that's their right, but I'm certainly not going to promote it.

Even if something happens and our links get lost, we at least have backups (as is the case with lavalit). It might take a while to get them back up, but "take a while" beats "gone for good".

I doubt it, but do any of you have Manny Santiago's "Untitled Demo?" I know it had Yuki from Neo Geo Battle Colosseum, and was like 2-3 levels long. It was made in the old BOR-Gen days, but even then was a pretty solid romp. It was the mod that taught me how to mod, and I've been itching to play it lately.

i've gone through a couple of those mods they check out safe only problem is can't check them all as i want. due to the file hosting site only allowing one download every hour.

Oh that demo, I know it and I remember it well since although Manny said it's not named yet, it has long title (Unnamed ...) I had to shorten the pakname.

BTW I just checked my mod collection and I still have the demo here.

Hi Guys.
I've set the module uploads (openbor section only) that all uploads have to be approved.
This might solve the problem of not being able to edit a existing upload.

Other than this i've not been able to see anything that might solve the edit problem, unless if this is an actual bug in the tiny portal tp upload system then we will have to wait for a update.

Please try it out and hopefully it works, rather have it that you have to wait for an approval than not be able to upload at all.

you can use dropbox, i think ill backup there everything that i have openbor related along with source graphic files and stuff cause i see dropbox isnt goin anywhere unlike many similar services.
