I did notice it shared the name with the cartoon, but i thought it was at worst just a nod or homage to it, and likely, just a coincidence.
What a shame :'( and shame on the owners of that old cartoon, that they've been sitting on since the 90's and likely never plan to do anything with, since barely just die-hard mk fans remember it...for practicing "litigation trolling" on something that's not-for-profit, aswell as not related to the actual cartoon at all.
Oh well..you do what you've got to do ZVitor. Thank you again for the excellent game, no lawyer with too much free time can take that away from us.

Yeah I think it's the name, as when you type up the name in google, it comes up with the old cartoon so they think your using there cartoon without permission:
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Mortal+Kombat+-+Defenders+of+the+Realm
Most definitely, it must be the name...however i noticed it's the ESA: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entertainment_Software_Association sending the email, who represents warner, owner of netherrealm...
Which begs the question...what "unathorized copies of the member's content" is being shared exactly? The sprites? The soundtrack?Seriously, this is over the top, it is not their software itself that is being shared...i'd have expected this from a company like nintendo, but not something related to mortal kombat. They have no history of cracking down on the countless non-profit mugen or openbor fangames.
Truly unfair if you ask me :-[ but again, do what you've got to do if it has to come to that, there's still plenty of your talented work up on the site for people to enjoy.

That really sucks
ZVitor. Sorry about that. It also means I may have to remove your the thread as well, but will try to avoid it. Please remove any download links and hopefully we can leave the thread open.

Hopefully the thread can stay up, at least, as there is no way to download it anymore (ZVitor removed the download link from his homepage, and there are no other download links present on this forum. The takedown notice has been posted instead.)
