Complete Raiders Rush 2

Another boss rush game and this one is for Boss Rush Jam 2024.

Unlike Robz Rush, Raiders Rush doesn't force player to fight multiple bosses in a row but instead bring player back to base after each boss fight. This allows player to choose the next boss and also upgrade stats. Oh there's also Exchange menu to exchange some stuffs.

I love the complexity of the menus system
Another thing that seemed very innovative to me was the behavior of the different bosses and how they differ from each other.
The colorful graphics and balanced gameplay make it one of your best works.
And I don't want to forget the music, because it is perfect for every scenario.

I've been updating this game for the past couple weeks.
First I've made more bosses, here are two of them:

I also have made Rush mode in which player will go from a boss to next boss instead of returning to base. This mode has rush counter, alternate level select menu and special exchange offers:



Also the title implies more than one raider so please welcome Drego, the second raider for this game. He's blue colored, designed based on Dragoon and can shoot dragon shots:

Dear Bloodbane, I find that you are making a lot of progress graphically speaking too, with the colors you use.
I wonder if the dragon shot goes towards the nearest enemy like a homing head? I will test

Unfortunately no. It doesn't have homing feature but it does pierce through enemies.

Update for this game has been resumed after I'm done with 3 games I've made in the past couple months, one for each jam. They are Barshen Breakout, Steampunk Raiders and Raider & Reaper.
Nice thing about making those games is that I could use same assets here also . Therefore, Jakk and Zano have been brought in to accompany Rico and Drego.

As for the game itself, there are no more updates I'm planning for next release. Right now, I'm testing the game to see for bugs or any stuffs I forgot to update.

After some delays and updates, Raiders Rush v2 is ready.
It features 4 raiders each with his own special abilities and traits, 2 modes: Raider and Rush and some extra stuffs.
