Sony is Ending Physical Discs after January 2028

Playstation will no longer have physical/disc version of the games in 2028. Bummers!
P.S. they say they are going to close PS Vita and PS3 digital ps stores too. I guess what's already in your library would still be available.

Eventually we'll all get our media through a rented PC using several different subscriptions. It's sad to see physical media go but it'll be back one day, maybe on a hyper crystal that can store 50 trillion gigs of data

Or even worse, have a pc that runs a virtual pc that runs apps via streaming and nothing is even installed on your disk while it is paid monthly.

I am concerned with this. Sony could kill any game they want since it's digital.

Makes me wonder if someone would make physical copies of those games. If the backlash failed to hit Sony that is.
