Sprite ripping techniques

I'm using ASU on sprite sheets...
While it's a great tool!
Is there another way to pull off sprites from a sheet without Asu?
I don't want to add an offset to every sprite to keep them inline on a panel.

this tool seems pretty good,

i am not sure if fighter factory studio might help you, it may be able to help you align al the sprites with a common offset and then you export

That was the my main concern!
As of right now I have to add an offset to every sprite hopefully Fighters Factory could help me on this.
Thanks

@Grit personally , i use Gimp,
i import all sprite images as layers and then go trought each layer and align them to a common top layer where i draw a purple dot as the offset.
every edit is done in the highest quality setting RGB mode.

then you turn the image to indexe mode - 256 or 255

after using a custom plugin to export all layers as png images, then i make sure that every image is 256 colors in a program called ACdsee

if you do this process in photoshop cs3 pr cs4, you will have less worries

thing with fighter factory (the old versions im used to) is that the quality of the sprite images degrades a little, something something palette optimization, not sure if the new version of FF does this....

@O Ilusionista

i am pretty sure i may be missing something or doing something wrong, but i could never figure it out, like i said, i was using automatic optimization and such

it was specially bad when i was trying to get those Golden frames on NS in the character selection screen to look consistent, they never came out right, the only way i got them to look good was with GIMP, same with Ortega's Belt icon, the exports i would get with FF (old version) would not look good.
I ended up re-making an ortega sprite sheet that included the belt in Gimp, tried it again in FF and Gimp exports, and the gimp exports came out better, so i have been using Gimp or photoshop only ever since

I have the Roomi (Galaxy Fight: Universal Warriors) sprite with me, but I can't edit her animations. Am I supposed to download it from Mugen Archive, or is there another way to fix the issue of editing?
