Considering this is a ninja for CapCom these days...It makes sense

Hi Ned, hope you well? I love what they did with Terry to the point where I want to make a version of him based of what we know from the old games but implement some of the things CAP added to him for my beat em up.Yes, I saw that yesterday before going to sleep.
I kind of like.
But she kind of look like she have been done with the creation mode or something.
The other characters have a better definition to me.
And yes the costume is a bit adapted, I cannot really explain.
My only wish is her her to be as complete and inspired as SF6 Terry is.
Not something too simple / too vanilla etc...
I'll wait for first actual gameplay.
Combos on point as it should be but she look no where near as seductive as she could have been.Mai gameplay - even though the guys at CapCom have used her actual moves (like with Terry), her footwork is rendered surprisingly even better.

They should have stuck with Guy.Considering this is a ninja for CapCom these days...It makes sense![]()
To me, Capcom's try of Mai with CVS1/CVS2 was great
I went over what you said a few years back and one of your reasons for not liking Kof's art style is exactly why I like it. The whole grainy look ever since I played '94. I got no issue with the sprites in Garou and one of my favorite games, The last blade, a fighting game with a decent story unlike most.Just seconding this. I'm withholding my opinion on the SF6 Mai, though I did really like the flow of things. Artistically though, the clean, high contrast style of art in CVS was made for Mai. IMO that is by FAR the best interpretation of her, with Real Bout coming second. KOF is just too banded, too grainy, and too over the top juvenile with her design.
I spoke on more detail about KOF art here:
Maybe I'm the wet blanket, but I never liked KOF's art style. I think it's ridiculously overrated, and seems to become more so as time passes. IMO the KOF sprites are too treated, too grainy, too simple, and the animation is extremely inconsistent. Yes, I said too simple. Start with a flat light source from the viewpoint, add treatments until you run out of room or colors, and call it a day. Don't try to trot out Garou as an example either. It's just as grainy, and the particle effects are even worse. At least Garou has consistent animation, I'll give you that.
I prefer the cleaner look...

Sagat actually got some decent Muay Thai attacks this time around along with the spam fest of a fireball.
Yeah, Sagat got some decent moves. I always missed elbow strikes on his kit.Sagat actually got some decent Muay Thai attacks this time around along with the spam fest of a fireball.
