As you know i'm enjoying too, i'm play openbor in an ancient arcade machine :)
Just a question, 'cause you're using the same stuff that i use.... which version of openbor and sof2x you suggest? openbor-6315+lite or superlite?

See last pages, version 1.4 (the last i think) has "light" and "super light"
 
I've only try the real version, but you are right, i forgot them ... i will try the light one :)
The super light is not a good idea i think. And the PI has enough memory :)
 
I have a strange issue with openbor and SoR2x.... below every sprite i have a line that say the name of the object, like the bin as write "bin", the sword, "sword", even alex below has a text with write alex :O

That's a my mistake or is the porting of openbor made by myself that has the issue? Version 1.4 with build 6412....

Another thing, but this is a my request, it is possible to reduce the players to only two? I play on an old ancient arcade machine with a CRT monitor with 384x224 resolution, and that machine cannot use 4 players (of course ;))
 
The debugging is turned on. Look for it under Options->System Options->Debug. You'll find settings there that you can toggle to display various technical info.

Or you can just delete the save file. Those options are defaulted as off.

Hi Kratus and everyone.

Right now I'm testing latest version of this mod and it is very good progress. Of course I'm going to add some new characters to this mod but all enemies I'm going to leave intact this time (also I'm going to move my previous project to later version of this mod, but I'll do it seperately becuase of differences in characters size).

If you wonder I'm going to make Cadillacs and Dinosaurs playable characters to original mod and they are way too small for one of my Megamix mods, therefore I'm going to do in original mod.

I might eventually put other characters like Ken and Ryu to original mod. Adding new playable characters to this mod is pretty simple and Ken and Ryu have enough sprites to do the job.
 
I apologize for my somewhat ranty and angry tone but please for the love of christ fix the Jets. Their AI is so unfair and you CAN. NOT. HIT THEM. Their fight lasts forever, expecially if you're playing as Skate with low damage output. They hit like trucks, both in speed and power, and if they both dive you at once you might as well give up because the double hit will juggle and almost kill you.

I lost about 8 lives and their health wasn't even down to a third each yet and by that point my patience was just about done and I just quit the game to do something more fun. I imagine many others will have a similar experience. Even with infinite Credits it just doesn't feel worth the stress.

I appreciate trying to make boss fights more interesting, but surely there HAS to be another way to make the Jets interesting without making them the hardest most frustrating enemy ever? They single handedly ruin this mod for me and as long as they remain like this, I just won't play, for my sanity's sake. Otherwise, the mod is seriously great dude, but as soon as I know a Jet's coming, all the fun drains away and is replaced with dread.

I'm gonna have nightmares about those guys XD

I'm intrigued by this talk of putting Street Fighter characters in this. I loved Kratus's mods for Streets of Rage 2 (the 4 different hacks, each with different Street Fighter characters in them). It would be amazing to see them all in this game too. It'd be like the Super Final Fight Gold game, only Streets of Rage instead :D

I suggest to use build 6330, but for Lite or SuperLite I think that the build 6412 is better, according to the msmalik681

Thanks for the feedback, Jet is completely remade now. Low flying height, slow attacks, first encounter in stage 2 he will be alone with some regular enemies, stages 5 and 7 are two but with 1/3 of your original life.

Note: When he go down and do attacks, your status will change to "on ground" and not flying. Mean that if Jet get hit by non-knockdown moves, he will not fall and you can connect some attacks like Axel grandupper + Rage, different from original Sor2 game that he will always "flying" and to connect attacks you will need to grab them.

About Street Fighter characters and others, a tribute to all my old hacks in one game is a very good idea...
 
Oooooh, a mashup of your old hacks as one game sounds interesting. Call it Streets of Rage Infinity Fusion, perhaps?
 
Since Streets of Rage 2X v1.5 is on the way (It look interesting, therefore I'm going to wait until its release) I decided to make more characters for original mod (version 1.4). Right now I completed Hannah Dundee and Mustapha Cairo (my favorite characters from Cadillacs and Dinosaurs), here is link if you are interested http://www.mediafire.com/file/8yciswkhdtg6q7u/SOR2X_V1.4+Beta.zip. Right now I'm testing Rotsprite to resize characters for M.U.G.E.N in order to create them in this mod and so far results are promising, when I end to create more characters for this mod I'll keep you update. Hey I wanted to first start off that this mod is one of my all time favorite mods i've seen and love all the support you keep giving it.

I tried using the SOR2X 1.2 & 1.3 and it will not run on the switch version of openbor. Looking for any ideas as to why.

The switch version is v4704.
