Super Thundercats: The Lost Eye of Thundera is a remake of the 1987 game. It features updated graphics and music, smoother gameplay, stages featuring the Thundertank, and a much needed final confrontation against Mumm-Ra (the original game ends abruptly after completing the last stage).

Awesome!
Thanks for sharing.

I would have personally put the word "Super" over the Tindercats Sign/logo.

I can't wait to try it.

Thank you. The original name was going to be Thundercats: Super Lost Eye of Thundera (kind of like Star Wars: Super Empire Strikes Back). I left it like that in the game but now that I'm uploading it I am putting the Super before Thundercats ... partially to avoid getting people confused (is the Eye super lost or what?). But yeah, now I should update the menu screen...

Wow another game? How do you do this? Lol
I remember that game. I will take a look.

I started working on this around February thinking it could be a little side project that I could complete in a week or two, maximum. I was dead wrong.

It's insane how obscure official Thundercats video games have been, so thanks for stepping in to fill the gap!

Yeah, Thundercats needs more videogames, for sure.

Nice attempt on remaking old game. That might explain couple things in game

I believe it's better not to use next command at all. Score bonus from that screen practically buries score gained from killing monsters
Boss battles are almost boring save the final one. I can see that they have limited sprites but that doesn't mean they should use same attack pattern

At least, final battle was something  8)

I see what you mean. Maybe I should decrease points given for completing stages, and increase score gained from killing monsters

Agree. I thought I could get away with it. Super Mario 3 did the same thing with the bosses that are in the castles (not in the flying ships)

good game. if you want to make a second part could do, with graphics of DS.

FOR THE LOVE OF JAGA, no. Just pretend that """"""""REMAKE"""""""""" never exists. Its pure pile of garbage (not the game, the animation).
It shold be renamed as Thuder Emo Cats.

robed wizard in first level creates a red aura/spell and then player is frozen and can not move... tried everything...

Its Jaga. But this bug doesn't happens here.

It's a great game... but not compatible in PSP since lag...
Try to convert all the sounds to 8bit instead of 16bit (if the samples are in 16bit)

I tried the game. Its quinda simple, but fun and nostalgic. My only concern is when Lion-o shoot - the bullet seams to come from his...errr...pelvis.

Btw, Zvitor made a cool gameplay video at his channel (and I plan to do the same soon)

Thank you for letting me know. I'm not familiar with this bug... did it happen more than once?

Thank you. Sorry about compatibility - I don't have a PSP to test this game.

I actually enjoyed the remake. But you're right, they were a bit emo.

Funny, that didn't even cross my mind, haha

DAMN! I just tried this GREAT mod! I never played the C64 version but I just watched one of those YouTube Longplay videos and the improvements in the visuals are, well, beautiful. I didn't beat the game yet but I will. Again, LOVE the improvements not just on the recolored sprites but the improved animations. Oh, and also the much needed boss battles that were not in the original game.

The funny thing is that I wanted to make a "He-Man" game but using my own sprites, with the gameplay being closer to Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania and then I see this and couldn't help but think: man, this guy's always one step ahead of me. I hope that whenever I release a demo nobody thinks I'm trying to copy you or something
