gabotico, i think i saw in other place of the other tmnt game, a very cool shot of those kung fu turtle imitators from that episode where krang dont wants to help shredder and he enters on that dojo for do some recruit of men.

is truth, that can be repeatitive fight all the time against foot soldiers... so if you can do something similar, think that every new enemy added, will be a certain fresh air into the game. ;)

apart, the fact that this game looks will not have recoluored stages but yes recolured chars. this is a thing that makes you could focus on the creation of new enemies, or make others playable. including enemies (this is clearly the more interesting thing on my oppinion).

but well, this will be possible, always that you can be abble to find an spriter... or to do it by yourself. :P

i have a friend, that always ask me about that he wants to participate in this kind of fangame projects. cause he likes to do sprites.

his name is klares. and now he has started to do sprites for the scenenarios of a streets of rage remake mod.

you can ask to him if he will like to help you doing a certain character maybe. :)
his favourite chars are the female ones. so maybe you coudl ask to him to do a april oneil on that nes way, using an aproil oneil drawn from those tmnt2/3 nes games

here are his youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/user/carzj/videos

as you can see, he performed some streets of rage chars hacks using the "pancake" char editor from streets of rage online.
some of those chars was from games, others was drawn by himself.

greetings. and good luck with the game. ;)

ps:

just a thing more, gabotico...

can be possible you talk with the tmnt palooza game creator, about share certain content of the both games, for use it on both of your games?

i know that every person wants to have their own exclusive things...

but maybe could be helpful, and very kind, that you both could collaborate beetwhen you on the rips or creation of certain common elements... for share they and make them appear on your 2 tmnt games.

that will be helpful for both. and since the 2 games will be different on content, it would be alright. isnt?  :)

Thanks for the idea miguelo777! I would like to add more characters and stuff from the cartoon but, that's obviously gonna take longer than just ripping and recoloring sprites. I have to draw them from scratch. I do appreciate your help but, drawing is something that I´ve been doing ALL my life and I really enjoy it. I mean, really, really enjoy it and I´m really looking forward to working on those extra characters.

Oh yes, Gabotico I almost forget about the script. Before I could share the script, I need to tell you that, in order for it to work, you need:
1. To spawn scenes as level spawn. To be exact, you need to spawn all 4 scenes at same time and place. Don't worry about overlapping as the script will remove the unneeded scenes leaving the needed one
2. To tell me the exact names of the turtles. The script will check the name of player who defeated the enemy and set variable based on it. This variable later will choose the scene in #1 above

BTW will April be kissing Casey Jones too? or if player is playing as character other than turtles, there will be generic scene played?

First of all, thanks a lot Bloodbane!! I was planning on having two modes, the first one is gonna be a TMNT2-like mode where you can only play as the four turtles, so April is only gonna kiss one of the turtles. On the second mode there is gonna be extra levels and April will be a playable character and therefore she doesn't need to be rescued. So, she's "only" gonna kiss one of the turtles, whoever defeats Baxter.

This is obviously still work in progress and this is the first of I don't really know how many extra levels that I'm trying to add to the MOD/game. I'm trying to recreate that scene from the first episode of the 1987 cartoon (Turtle Tracks).  I downloaded  some sprite sheets made by a guy called Tortuglio. They were edited sprites of Bebop and Rocksteady, in human form. I decided to recolor them so that they look more like the cartoon. I still have A LOT of work to do but this is gonna be cool.

Very nice, April looks sick.
If you are in a need of level layouts and music, I have played around 300 NES games, and can recommend music and levels.
:)))
This one sounds TMNT-ish.

Im linking this stuff cause you have some awesome idieas and I want to help in any way shape or form, not just you but all of the guys making mods. :))

Thanks man!!! Good stuff!! I downloaded a couple of tunes from YouTube that were 8-bit remixes from Turtle in Time. They're so good, I plan on using them at some point.

Konami 8 bit music rules!
Hey man, i have a suggestion. Maybe you should do a arcade mode with tmnt 3 after someone finish the tmnt 2 stages. I love the tmnt 3 stages, specially the elevator scene!

@PeXXeR: Hell yeah dude!! Thanks!

@sergiomsousa: That 8-bit remix was is sooo good! I already downloaded it! About your suggestion!! I like TMNT3 and all but I kind of wanted to start making my own levels. But who knows, it it a possibility, why not? Perhaps after all do other stuff that I wanna do...

I just started working on Vernon. I don't think he's gonna be a playable character but I wanna put him on that extra level where you fight Human Bebop and Human Rocksteady, in the background.

Thanks Gabotico! Keep doing your awesome work!

A more complete version of the last video I uploaded. This time not only I have Bebop and Rocksteady in human form but also two more members of their gang which I had to draw from scratch. Also, Vernon is in the background (I also had to draw him from scratch) . The result is a closer resemblance to that scene from the 1987 cartoon. I think I'm pretty much all set with this level. Now on to work on other EXTRA levels for the MOD/game. Also, all four turtles and Casey Jones have an improved/more detailed idle animation. Really loving OpenBOR!! Here's a video:

GaBoTiCo, the new detailed sprites look great!  With the improved animation and shading on the playable characters, I think it even gives them a pseudo-3D effect.  Very impressive!

I'm a big fan of the original Turtle Tracks episode (I've even posted a series of fan art about it on Deviantart), so it's wonderful to see you adapting that opening scene with such detail.  Having played a lot of Double Dragon video games, I half expect to see the punks walk over and punch poor April in the gut before carrying her off (btw, that would make a hilarious opening cut scene to your main story mode).

Thanks a lot oldmanwinters!! I had to do some research on pseudo-3D effect before replying to your message. It was my intention to make the sprites not look so flat as they did in the original NES game, so, thanks!! I'm also a fan of that Turtle Tracks episode. For some reason I feel that I've seen you on DvianArt. Do you also have that Splinter image as your profile picture? About April being punched by the punks, I don't know about that, lol.

Yup, that's me!  Same profile picture and same username.  So far as I know, I think I might have been the first person to post fan art of the Turtle Tracks punks on the internet.  But now they've been done a couple more times by some superior artists (from my estimation) !

I think you've definitely succeeded in adding some dimensions to the 2D sprites.  They don't look flat at all, and remind me a little of the sprite style in Yoshi's Story on N64.

And now that I think about it, April getting sucker punched might be a bit too graphic for a game based on the cartoon TMNT.  I was always disappointed that Double Dragon's Marion never got her chance at revenge by becoming an unlockable playable character in all the various ports and remakes.  :-)
