Alright so for those of you who don't know about this project I'll give a brief rundown. It's a lot to type so I decided instead of killing myself posting on millions of boards (more like 5-6) I'd make a blog:
FinalFightTrilogy.blogspot.com
The project is a remake of Final Fight Tough/3 combining it with everything from the series. It's an admittedly ambitious project lead by myself created as a love letter to final fight fans all over.

The engine is obviously OpenBoR, I'm taking time to learn all that I possibly can in a short period of time to make this a solid mod. I'm a perfectionist so cutting corners isn't my thing.

The Story is a retelling of FF3's story (Tough probably isn't too different anyway) giving Skull Cross a little more power and explaining where everyone else in the series has gone to during this time. The story is split into Scenarios, 1st scenario is the main story featuring the original cast. This will be accompanied by other unlockable scenarios that feature other characters.

Graphics are CPS2 based, all sprites in this project have been done from scratch so far (even went back to re-sprite Guy and Cody, more so Cody) with heavy references. I lost any and all work pertaining to backgrounds so I'll just have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

Gameplay is an advancement of FF3's gameplay adding elements from other FF games as well as the SF series, buttons include a weak and heavy attack, jump, special joy and the hold direction button if possible, which will allow you to block by holding back or parry with a timed press of forward also allows for back dashing again if possible.

Characters have 3 special attacks and 2 Supers
Special Joy - defensive special drains health, if health is low it will drain the meter if you have enough, EX version drains both health and a Quarter of the meter.
2 Special Attacks - performed by a combination, EX version drains a Quarter of Super Meter
2 Super Attacks - performed by advanced combination, requires a full meter

As far as everything else, music, artwork etc. another bridge to be crossed. I have requested some work from Yotatouch on backgrounds as well as CosmoBuggi & WizzyWhipitWonderful in regards to music so we'll see how far that goes.

Check the blog every now and then as I plan to continually update it. I'll try to keep this topic up to date as well. Peace!

Hey. Great to have you here, Mr. Din! Glad you showed up. Anyways, thanks for the update. I will stop by to check your blog any time. ;) I bet it's going good.

Thanks for your comments!
as for a release date, none will be set but my goal is to at the very least have something ready by Final Fight's 25th anniversary.

Those sprites are very cool!

I have to say, the new blog is a nice touch.

Agreed, it looks nice :)
FFTrilogy sprites look great, can't wait to see more. I have some updates for my FF mods coming up soon =D

Those spites looks amazing. My only issue would be that Haggar and Dean look too tall in comparison to Guy and Lucia. If they were standing up stright, they'd be even taller! I dont think the height difference was that bad in the originals.

Yeah Alpha scale is quite weird in comparison to the original stuff. Though it's not as bad as most haggars I've seen usually at hulk/gief scale :S Lucia was a tough one, in the original she was MUCH taller than what her description stated probably to give her the proper reach.

Sorry for such a late (and pretty empty handed) reply, life loves to kick you in the wrong places haha. Nothing too notable in progress, I have been working on a few punks graphically and the logo as seen in the blog isn't complete is based on the FF Tough boxart logo.

Congratulations for the great work, I look forward to being able to play this new game, check out the possibility of Andore be available to play, I think many would like to play with him.

missed a few replies, good to see folks still interested.

What kind artist or art do you need?
well I think the weakest point right now is the higher graphic arts, portraits, title screen etc, It's all CPS2 style though in terms of graphics, something along the lines of SFA, MvC etc. I say along the lines of because the style isn't as exaggerative.
I do have a small little update, In hopes of reaching that FF Anniversary deadline as well as simplicity of building up I've decided to start with the FF1 scenario, I find it a nice appropriate way to kick this thing off and celebrate Final Fight. My work has been cut pretty short with thanks to Prime Op providing bred and co as well as some other things as open source work. As far as the soundtrack goes, it's a W.I.P last I talked with wiz he said he was looking to remaster his previous FF1 works, though life gets the better of all of us so that comes first.

Still pushing, slowly but surely.

Wow. ... I love what you did there.
Can't wait to see all that in motion

Truely beautiful!
Such a project must be "limited in animations number" to have a chance of existing.
Original spriting is a really long process (particulary with this sprite style)

Anyway, good luck with that!! :D

Wassup guys? I'm not dead just to let you know :p I've renamed this thread into one of my favorite thread titles. Unfortunately FFT is sitting in the back burner due to certain complications with my computer and back ups, no worries everything is still intact I just can't access it.

What I want to talk about now is a project that's pretty close to heart, a labor of love that to be honest I haven't been very confident in talking about. This project started off as a simple mod remake, an arcade styled version of my favorite series Streets of Rage but since then it's grown quite a bit into it's own thing something bigger. This is project Neo

As far as graphics and engine goes I'm currently a one man army, I'm still getting the hang of the OBoR engine but it's been a fun ride so far. My first goal is to replicate SoR2 as close as possible, then add the features it lacked from SoR1 as well as stuff from BKM and SoR2 GG. Given that I can't access my stuff just yet I've settled for using pre-existing sprites, what you see above is the trio in their classic get ups, these are the new designs being presented.

Before my VGA port busted I was working on a beta featuring adam in a sewer stage, in this video you'll have the pleasure of hearing a lovely in game track by DeeJay Verstyle.

Hope to catch you guys sooner than later! ;)
