But my problem with the IA is that he does too much the same attacks, for example, he'll do a melee attack only if im in range, he will NEVER run to me and attack me, he prefer use his ranged attack, thats why i give to everyboss many ranged  moves, without that it will be too much easy to read, but id really like him to run on the player and attacking in melee range and using more than 4 attacks  randomly

I see, you can use randomness script I showed here:

http://www.chronocrash.com/forum/index.php?topic=719.msg5948#msg5948

with that script you can control how likely enemy/boss would perform certain attacks

I forget Slash's original AI but I remember that Baxter has sweep shoot in which he moves from frontmost or backmost of playing field and start shooting while moving in opposite side. That's the move I'm expecting from him
I can help you creating that move if you like :)

thx iggy11 ;)

Bloodbane If u can help me with this that would be awsome, the IA of the generic soldiers is not a problem since they are many, but for a boss id really like something that make him hard to read, with a lot of moving yes, i'll go back working on the mod this weekend and will look your thread , but  i never used a script, ive heard it eat a lot of memory and since im playing on psp im limited, but i think using only the script for the boss AI will be ok , i managed to avoid scripts with some tricks until now, like the victory pose of the turtle

I'll do a little recap about the progress  for the second part of the game

The mousers and the other robots ( forget the name) are done
Mecha krang(completely edited), normal shredder  and metalhead(completely edited too)are done

with this i can complete : Starbase, alleycatblues, and technodrome ( 1st), so after this the game will be 70% done

The only remaining thing to set before i can record these stages is the rocksoldier, ive searched  and wasnt able to find something that look like them, if someone have any idea i'll appreciate

good to hear that. ;)

but plase, take your time. a new playable rare char, will be awesome too. instead of only the turtles. wich are very and interesting to be playable on this kind of game. ;)

greetings ;)

Hey im back with a new video, the game progressed a lot and i can show its final version, only 2 levels left, 2 turtles, and the intro/ending scenes, the most difficult part is done

Here is the new video link :

I'll put it in the first page too.

i liked the style, very nice project!

if i can suggest just one thing, if you can make a custom walk animation for the playable characters will be perfect

keep the good work! :)

Impressive gameplay!
I love how it looks!
The fact it uses Turtle tounament fighters sprites make it really badass!!

Please keep it up!
This project have to be a success!!

Thx guys im glad u like it, like i said i took some risks by changing totally certains characters, so i wasnt sure this will be appreciated by tmnt fans.

To answer to the question:

I thought about the walking animations too, because the originals ones are too short looking but that could be very difficult to success this and im afraid that if i modify too much the sprites the result will look amateurish, thats why i dont edit too much.

About the characters you have to look the videos entirely or you will miss many things, like the scene where slash is playable, so yes there will be more characters than the 4 turtles, certains will be playable after being defeated like slash and metalhead, other will be directly playable like casey jones and maybe more, but for now i focus only on finishing the 2 last turtles and the 2 last stages.

BTW i have a request, im looking for the SNES version of shredder voice when he say" ah ah ah ah" in the intro, i couldnt find it or record it since i dont know how to delete the music in the snes emulator, so if anyone could get this voice clip that would be really nice, i prefer the snes over the arcade version.

Ty, here is the  next playable character, i wont do more vids of the game so ill post the picture instead:

Not bad. :) I would suggest you to edit Casey's mask into an actual hockey mask because that mask looks more of Rick's from Splatterhouse. Also, you can make a long hair to him. Plus, you can possibly resize and edit the mask though. Otherwise, why not use Nick Commando's mask from Fight Fever game? bWWd has a masked character as enemy in his Super Fightin' Spirits mod. You can check that out yourself.

Cool video Jeet! I can see good potential here

My only suggestion is to incorporate 3D attacks to some bosses. Some bosses would be cooler and better with 3D attacks :)

Wow! I didn't see the video until I watched it a while ago. I have to say that progress in the video is very excellent!

Thx

@Miru
I dont like this krang sprites, i definitly prefer the more cartoon oriented sprites from the snes , thanks for your proposition : if your into sprites editing, im looking for a cowboy style enemy that cool fit well in tmnt universe ( i want to add some generic soldiers cowboy in the train level)

@maxman
ty for the infos, dont hesitate to tell me what u think of this character since its not finished its still time to modify it, the mask is exactly the one from splatter house ( couldnt find better but i gonna check now the others titles ur talking about)
