Where do you edit the character select screen?

I've just been messing around with the rhythm of destruction 2 game, modding in my own characters and such, but where's the txt file to edit the character select screen?

I found the select.gif file and I do edit the picture in asesprite, but if I wanted to edit the background music and stuff, where would I go for that? This has been driving me up the wall lol.

The manual says that you edit the levels.txt file. There are music and background commands you can use to change the music & image. See details here:

However, in practice, that doesn't seem to work at all. I find that it just shows whatever player characters I've added into models.txt with the LOAD command. It's a bit confusing for sure.

The character sprites on the select screen definitely come from each character's individual .txt file. Look up the SELECT and WAITING animations for characters.

If you figure out how to change the image and music on the main start screen, then let me know. I haven't figured out that one yet, LOL.

music for select screen is menu.bor while remix.bor is for main menu.
