I think your content for this wrestling type mod is very awesome Nedflanderurse, I hope that I get a chance to check it out once you get everything situated on this epic mod. You're in good hands my friend.

I'm necrobumping this thread to post this mockup of what I have in my mind for the wrestling game mode of W.A.

Here you can see my Custom Vortz as P1 andsome of the opponent you can fight in this game mode.
The idea is to have some of these characters availiable as new characters as well.

This is just a preview, since there is a lot more of enemies depending on the game mode you select.
World tour, Beat em up, The factory, Alone in the streets, Zombie Fighter...

About game progress, After a long hiatus I decided to restart working on it, I don't know if I can keep going much.
The ide is at least to complete the general game system, so all the game modes will be possibly playable.

I rejected a lot of features because of my lack of coding/scripting skills.
(no more wrestling system, no ring / rope interaction, custom screen messages...)
I reduced a lot of items objects interactions (the list is long.
I think 30% of what I had in my mind is simply impossible to code for someone like me unless I stop working to concentrate on undertanding these coding stuffs)

Now, I'm tring to get the irish whip type move that sends an opponent in the wall and the game system will be almost OK.

I'll try to keep you informed of the progress in, the next weeks.

I hope you can solve the main problems to advance in the mod.  ;)
 
If anything, I feel that leaving some features behind isn't that much of a deal breaker, and others can be easily tweaked to make a more interesting experience. I've dealt with things that would look great on paper, but once the time to work on it came, became a literal waste.

For example, I've put my characters having 100 MP each, and the launcher attack (juggling will be an integral part of gameplay like in Pierwolf's mods) costing 50 MP, to avoid breaking the game -- I took notes on characters like Marstorius from Fighter's History Revenge or Gokuu from World Heroes Extra.

The spritework is godlike. Muscle Power with a Mustache is the best!
 
Great roster i am suprised to see so many.  I like how well you sized the characters they all look good together.

I really want to concentrate on completing my mod but i will get round to helping with your script issues eventually.  Remember you made this project to push openbor so do not settle on anything i got your back brother.
 
I’m hyped for some of these wrestler enemies. But I do think two of them in the back of the second row could have a little tweaking to fit with the rest of them. Any more enemies you can showcase?

This is not full, and some designs have been updated.

Lower row is about NPC characters that can interfere with you during the game.

Most of these edits ahve been done with my cutom method.
head edit + color swap + scaling + minor edits.
 
They all look tough as nails, merciless, and rotten to the core. A perfect crew to get your blood boiling to beat them all up. I like the addition of semi-helpful NPCs joining the fight as well.

It was the first concept I had in my mind, before to think about wrestling, it was more like : what would look like a classic fighting game (a la SF2) with a level full of enemies right before)

BTW, in some of the characters might appear in several game modes.
 
Ah cool! However, I think the Guile clone does look a little too much like Guile. Maybe remove the tattoo? Some of them look like they could be NPCs. Will Hanzo and Fuuma be bosses?

What about the Zombie Survival enemies?

One of them has a shadow on the ground while none of the other enemies do.
 
Nothing decided about the actual use of these characters, they are just concepts.
But you can be sure, Hanzo and Fuuma will not be characters clones you fight 20 times in a level ;)

About Zombie mode, there is some concepts as well, I'll post them later.
But this is a "mini game mode", so, don't expect a lot of elements for it.
Same for the game mode alone in the streets. Basically a mini game with psychos attacking a damsell in distress (who can fight)

Some of my concepts have shadow, some don't have.
In the real game, of course it will be the same display for every entity. :)
 
Really very nice rooster. So you are a graphic developer, can I ask you to include Hercules (Mutant Fighters) sprites and playable character? I am not so skilled as you and I found lot of troubles in developing this char.

Sorry, but there is almost no chance this happens in this game.
The character is not fitting at all, evne if the moves are intersting :)
