The project is currently under development.
Not exactly, his overheating just changes the movement speed and frame delay to make animations faster. All the other mechanics remain the same.

However, his speed can affect the way the range parameter works, since he will stay closer most of the time at higher speeds and will use certain moves more often than others.


for the official release, this is the content planned so far:

- SOR1 content: Blaze and Adam, Hockey Mask Guy, Bad Ending
- BKM content: all levels as alternative routes in the SOR1 one
- Beta Zan (still needs more sprites, but is on the way).
- SMS/GG content: some enemies and levels
- Some custom characters like Super Shiva and Ninjo (sent by Adrimus)
- Add all remaining cpu partners, and test 3 cpus at the same time
- Improvements in all playable enemies

And after the official release, I'm still considering adding the SOR Kamurocho route and starting tests with SOR4 content.

Thanks, think I've put in as much work on the mixing as I have getting good. I've no intention of trying by the way, but is a 2x mania no death run possible? It looks like there's at least a few points where you have to give up a life.

Honestly I have never tried it, but I must try it sometime. Currently all the mechanics were developed to allow at least 1cc possible, like the old school beat 'em ups.
I will check some playthrough videos people sent me to confirm if anyone made any mania no-death.
 
Don't say that, it'd drive me mad trying to do it. You may be right with combo trapping and cheap tactics actually, but I've never seen the appeal in playing that way.
 
Hey, can you give Break both the knee spike move and the move (this is from the BK3/SoR3 boss fight) where he actually FLIPS and does the somersault attack? Just so cement him as like how he was during that boss fight.
 
Also, can someone explain the debug mode to me? Like can it spawn enemies and stuff? Cause I want to tinker. And also, in the rebellion mode css, can you shift the main heroes to the head so that it doesn't look weird?

I can add the somersault in the next update, but I don't know exactly what the knee spike is. Is this the same as the Axel's jump+down attack?

Just so cement him as like how he was during that boss fight.
To be honest I'm not planning to change the Break behaviour too much, since he is just like an Axel clone. But I can add the 2 moves you suggested.

The debug mode was temporarily created only to help in the development. It has no usability other than providing some information.

And also, in the rebellion mode css, can you shift the main heroes to the head so that it doesn't look weird?
Friend, during the beta step some things may not look correct because there's a lot of stuff in the test yet. But I have plans to organize the select screen.
Below there's a draft of a possible new style for the Rebellion mode, more compact because I'm testing a "type selection" on the same way as the arcade mode.

US-Garnet under the name “Soozie”
US-Electra under the name “Thundura”
GG (??) Twin with the bun under the name “Yasha”

Yes it is possible to get through sor 1 and sor 2 paths with no deaths on Mania with 3-4 Player enemies. I did it for so1 and sor 2 a few times with blaze 3 and dr Zan.

I did use the infinite juggle and otg to have sorx play more like V05 and V07 of streets 4. This may down play my deaths to some people.

The youtuber Dreamweaver did a no death with skate 3 on plain maina for sor 1 with the sor 3 meter type. I think he had 2x bosses on

In my opinion. you can certainly no death sor 1 and 2 on maina with 3-4 enemies with out infinite juggles. With the sor 4, sor 2 and sor 2 meter types. (The game is programmed really well.)

It just comes down to luck and a tons of attemps without the infinite juggles. It’s really really hard to beat the 2 mr X’s that can shoot up. (I think did my deaths before he could shoot up)
On Sor 3 Idk. I only played it 3 or 4 times so to me it’s the hardest path.

At least in the last 2 updates I didn't change their behaviour. But if you are referring to the original games, indeed there's some small differences.

It's not out of your reach to get a no death with your game settings. Axel 3 is just harder to use because of his short jab range so if you change combo type to SOR 3. You can punch a couple of times to get his longer range attack. BUT it's all up to you.

I got a 2 death run with the SOR 2 meter, 1 - 2 Player ememies, No police, SOR 2 path, Blaze 3.

I was trying a new controller and it disconnected on my during the Souther & jet fight and I almost died. Then I missed up really bad on the lvl 7 Elevator because I forgot about the Turkey and died D=.

 
Is SoR 1 Blaze in development or able to be previewed in a video yet? I'm sorry for pestering, I'm just so hyped 'cause she's always the character I'm most excited about. I love her in SoR 1 (I prefer her over SoR 2 and SoR 3 Blaze due to her speed, kicks and acrobatics - I love characters with kicks, speed and acrobatics more than anything and whilst I like SoR 2 Blaze fine, I always hated they reduced her from an acrobatic speedster to a more bland and balanced character. Basically faster Axel... I know Skate becaome the new fast character but it felt like Blaze had to suffer for it. She still had flips but they felt less cool somehow.) And in SoR Remake SoR 1 Blaze was my main. So naturally she's the character I'm most excited (and nervous!) about in this project too, lol. Once she's out, Estel will be my next focus (so I'll be satiated for a long time since Estel's probably years way lol). But yeah, basically since this project's conception I've been equal parts intrigued and scared about how SoR 1 Blaze might tturn out to be, lol.

I dunno what sprites you're using or how you'll make new moves for her but please for the love of god tell me her combo ender/charge attack is the flip kick she had because I'll never forgive Sega for nerfing her acrobatics and kicks after the first game lol. And I don't count her SoR 2 Defense special 'cause it somehow manages to lack the cool factor in comparison to her old combo ender.

If there's nothing to show that's totally cool but I'd like to even just hear the plans/thoughts on how she'll play, whether from a moveset standpoint or how her weapon modes might differ and stuff.

This is kinda 'drunk thoughts at 6am too' so like, sorry if I'm a bit weird but also congrats, I apparently have nothing better to think about than this awesome game I can't wait to see complete lmao.

And straight up, I don't play Axel in any SoR game. I felt he was 'meh' in SoR 2 and SoR 3 and I HATE him in SoR 4 (but my friend mains him and is great with him in all games, which I find really cool - I love how diverse people and their mains can be and it's so fun to watch him play Axel well). But your SoR 1 Axel is seriously fun enough that I ENJOY playing as him. Which reminds me actually; I was streaming this for my friends earlier tonight and I was playing as SoR 1 Axel (on the SoR 1 route in case it matters) and my friend commented that after beating Mr X and I was inputting my name for the high score screen, he said that Axel's hair looked 'rainbow colored'. I wasn't paying attention and just entereted the score without looking at the icon so I have no idea what he was talking about, but from that description I assume that perhaps the smartpalette might be showing on the the name entry screen instead of the chosen palette? That's my only guess anyway 'cause I didn't see it but in my experience if colors are being stupid then it's usually the rather 'creative' smartpalette that's to blame xD So maybe check out that out though I dunno if he was seeing things or not, lol.

In general, SOR1 Blaze sprites will be based on the BKM ones, same as the current SOR1 Onihime is using. However, I'm still thinking about how I can make her different from Onihime, I don't want to make a copy/paste character. I have some customs but I believe I will need to draw some new ones.

I played the original SOR1 this week to remember how she works in the game. I can at least guarantee that the combo ender will be the flip kick. I had forgotten what it was like and as soon as I saw this move, I immediately wanted it in the SORX haha.

In the hi-score screen the icon will not preserve the palette used, but it's strange an icon to appear during the name input, it should not happen.
But I will take a look at the SOR1 Axel icon's palette, thanks for the report.
