Don't know if it's just me?.. but I've always loved SoR3 Yellow/Black Axel more than the classic Red/White/Blue
Me neitherNot me.
He was already added some time ago. Will Signal SOR 1 be added in the future?

Although I prefer the red/white/blue palette, I like this palette too, but more due to the black pants than the yellow t-shirt.Don't know if it's just me?.. but I've always loved SoR3 Yellow/Black Axel more than the classic Red/White/Blue

I believe that for some reason they tried to resemble the Adam palette. The guys at Sega must have been drunk when they decided on that
That makes sense. But it would make even more sense if Skate had that color scheme (though his shirt is yellow, he'd just need black pants) or maybe Zan.I believe that for some reason they tried to resemble the Adam palette.
Let me rephrase.. I love Axels SoR3 (Adam colors) as his Alt. costume. It's a constant back an forth when I play.Don't know if it's just me?.. but I've always loved SoR3 Yellow/Black Axel more than the classic Red/White/Blue
Colorwise, No. Spritewise, yes. Thanks for CajNatalie who pointing this out. I always thought SOR3 using the same spritesheet as BK3, turns out there's subtle differences and I'm leaning to favour the SOR3 one minus the color.Don't know if it's just me?.. but I've always loved SoR3 Yellow/Black Axel more than the classic Red/White/Blue
Thanks a lot, buddy@Kratus Hey buddy, here is a longplay with Mr. X
Yeah, I will think of a way to differentiate them. Thanks for the suggestion.- I think there could be a distinction between the color palettes of the minions he summons and the level's minions (for instance, having them use slightly darker palettes), as there were times I couldn't tell who was my ally and who was an enemy.
I agree, I felt the same during my playthroughs. I will test some drafts I have.- I know this would require new sprites—and I hope you find help with that—but it would be interesting for Mr. X to have basic attacks other than the one where he strikes with his machine gun, as it gets repetitive over time.
To distinguish between regular enemies and friendly units in enemy form, I believe depicting the enemy as "mind-controlled" balances visual clarity with a retro arcade vibe. Here are a few suggestions for your reference:Yeah, I will think of a way to differentiate them. Thanks for the suggestion.
Thanks for the suggestionsTo distinguish between regular enemies and friendly units in enemy form, I believe depicting the enemy as "mind-controlled" balances visual clarity with a retro arcade vibe. Here are a few suggestions for your reference:
- Psychedelic Spiral/Swirl: Render a continuously rotating pink or purple mini-vortex above the enemy's head to show they are brainwashed or dazed.
- Puppet Cross: A miniature puppet control crossbar with dotted lines dangling down to the enemy's head, epitomizing being "manipulated behind the scenes."
- Soulless Eyes: If the palette permits, change the enemy's eyes to blank, dead-fish eyes or glowing, heterochromic eyes.
- Facial Color Tint: If the palette permits, overlay a faint purple or fluorescent green filter on their face to convey an involuntary state of poisoning or "delirium."

Yeah, I'm testing your suggestion of a darker palette using tint effects. It's similar to MK1 alternative palettes.Hum I think I would go with just a dark palette. The less things on the screen, the better, as it already gets chaotic some times - throwing more things would make things worse, not better.
Amazing! Thanks buddy@Kratus I've updated Max Star moves, now with fx

Here, I can give you a lot of ideas. Thanks O. Mr. X is on my list but still figuring his moveset.

I don't know how you do it but it's like you read my mind. Mr. X will have simillar moves of the 3 above. A little bit OOT here, but long long time ago when I'm learning openbor by using @ZVitor MIW game with his permission. I wanted to make Agents of Shield game (You can still see Agent Coulson, Dum Dum Dugan and Mockingbird edits that I made in the recent MIW game). Albeit only Agent Coulson the only completed chars but this something an old WIP of Dum Dum Dugan that I want to incorporate the moveset, mainly his run attack for Mr. X blitz. Here, I can give you a lot of ideas.
Mr. X strikes me as the type of person who prefers brutal, straight-to-the-point attacks over acrobatic ones, so I’ve listed a few below:
That front kick really suits him, as it’s quite useful. Even in real life—start an argument using that kick as your point, and you'll see you'll get the other person's attention, haha.

Here, he could strike with the weapon like a sledgehammer.
