Bad news - I will need to cut somethings from my plans to be able to released it right now. I am having some bad issues at mt real life so I need to change my focus to other things. Probably I will take a break from my personal projects to work only in commissions.

This doesn't means I am quitting, just that I need to organize things in my life and there things with higher priorities for now.

Thanks everyone, it means a lot to me.

Some news:
- Several tweaks on many characters, like Thor, Hulk, Red Hulk, Captain and Hawkeye. New sounds, more effects and such.

- Beast sky cycle is done. I tried to make each character unique while on sky cycle, and his second attack (special) works like a trap: goes forward and after X seconds, stops and create a medium ball of light to act as a shield. it will only create this medium ball after X seconds - it will ignore the contact with enemies (but they are hit normally). After some time, the ball vanishes. Beast can shoot his ball and moves itself.

- Hulk back throw now throws the enemy far away, like Namor and Thor does.

- Brand's Avenger Power done.

Awesome looking work as always :) Love the Miss Marvel sprite. Will she be playable eventually? Hope so.

I was playing today and I decided I really don't like Beast's ultimate :/ It just feels unimpressive compared to some of the other characters and I never use it. I get that it's to create another ally for extra damage but I'd rather spend the SP on special moves lol. Is he stuck with it or might he get something cooler in the future? The rest of him is fun to play. I love his aerial spinning claw attack.

In the screenshots he seems to have normal coloured skin but still have the Beast body. I don't know much about Beast as a character so I wondered what that was?

About Beast's hyper, It falls in the same case of Vision's one - it can be one of the best hypers from the game if you use it wisely. It don't do a lot of damage, but it helps you fighting the enemies. Against bosses, that little robot is very useful! When I play with Beast, I call the robot and avoid to use special moves, so I gather SP. Once the robot is down, I call it again right after the previous dies.

That robot doesn't exists, exactly, on comics. But Best was able to use Shiar technology on the past, so this is why he uses a robot and his spaceship is so differen.

I have no plans to give him another hyper or change it, sorry.

I was working on the Avengers ID Card (which is responsible for making you to be able to call help) and I was searching for where I could put an icon to show that you got the Avenger ID and now are able to call helpers, but the HUD was going to be too poluted so I decided to use the AVENGERS logo. Whenever you get the card, the AVENGER logo turns red:

Its animated and shows the move command too (since people doesn't reads the game manual...)

Btw, I started to make the game ending (since I plan to release it soon). I will try to make something cool or funny for each slide :)

For now, it will be the same ending for all characters, but I plan to change this someday.

And FINALLY I was able to fix a bug which was on my game for ages - some entities (like flashes) were stuck on the screen forever. I was thinking the fault wasn't mine but a engine bug, but since I am a newbie in OpenBOR, I don't wanted to say this without deep research. But I've found the error is on the engine, not in my codes - its the old First Frame bug, which prevents some codes to be used on the first frame. In my particular case, it was related with the random function, because I like to spawn entities randomly to simulate better effects (something I do a lot in Mugen). Seams that you can't spawn an entity and change its position randomly on-the-fly, on the same split second that you spawn it - you need to put the random code on the entity itself, not on the caller.

After some modifications, this is work the way I wanted to. Because It could be kinda boring to release the game without this.

Anyway, I am working on this almost each day to release a new beta soon. Here are some news:

- The Helper system is finished. You can only activate it once you get the Avenger ID Card. Once you get it, the Avengers logo turns red and animted, showing the command to call the helpers. If you execute the command, a random character comes to help you, and you will need to find another one to call for help again

- Improvements in almost every character. Black Cat has a new jumpattack and both her jumpattack and runattack now connects easily

What is missing:

- Finish Black Cat, Emma Frost, Hawkeye and Namor sky cycle
- Fisish Red Hulk hyper move

After that, I can release the new beta finally :)


 
D***! I love this helper system so much!
I like the fact the imput is displayed only in the "right" moment.
Just like Oldschool Samsho games.
Can't wait to give it a try! :)

Does Iron Man have any new/changed moves ? I couldn't remember if I'd read anything about him in a while.

Oh yeah, my friend is a huge Dr Strange fan and he wanted me ask if there is any chance of Dr Strange making it into the game as a playable character eventually.

He likes Scarlet Witch too and I remember seeing a sprite for her on like page 1 of this topic. Is she still planned too?

Yes, she will be in (but not on the next demo). Her sprites are done, I just had no time to code her.

The author if a friend of mine, I doubt he will deny it. Do you want to make a test?
