Thank you so much for the kudos Kimono, I'll see what I can do adding the sprites from Adventure of Little Ralph and Oriental Legend 2 on Spriters Resource, I just have to create spritesheets for those characters and I'll upload them to the website if I have some time.That's really nice: some of the sprites from Sengoku could definitely use recoloring.

Yes sir, she's Xiao Long Nu from Oriental Legend 2, I was going to recreate an OpenBOR version of the first arcade game using her, Wukong, Bajie, and Wujing as playable characters. But I had to put the fan game on hold until the rest of my projects were situated. But I'm glad that you enjoyed the progress of this project so far NED.Otohime Looks particularly good!

Nice and good progress buddy!Good evening everyone, I hope you guys love surprises because i sure do. Here's the gameplay of the new character Ryujin (Seiyen from Gaia Crusaders) making his debut in my Basara Frontier project. According to the mythology, this Japanese dragon god is the father of Princess Otohime as he rules his kingdom under the sea surrounding the earthly realm of Japan, it is said that he can control the tides of the ocean using a pair of jewels in his possession called the Manju and Kanju pearls. His role in the story has him joining forces with Susano'o and her friends to gather the remaining sacred treasures after the moon goddess Tsukuyomi caused a ruckus in his domain and stole both the Tide Jewels (While threatening his daughter no less.). This video shows him performing an assortment of special moves and I started his gameplay on stage 5 because I want to show off the rest of the level from previous video including the boss fight against Kagutsuchi (I also changed the music for the level files as well.). I'm currently working on stage 8 right now, but until the next preview, I hope everyone enjoy Ryujin's gameplay and let me know what you think!
Thanks Kimono, the idea I'm trying to create for this game is romanticise the events of Japanese Mythology as Susano'o alongside her friends explore more regions of the country to search for the ten sacred treasures since the story takes place in a Heian-era Japan, before the time Yorimitsu's descendant Yoshimune Minamoto existed and rose to power.A beautiful journey through this fantastical medieval Japan. It would be nice to have some more varied terrain, obstacles, and mini-scenes to break up the monotony of simply moving from left to right, and perhaps other gameplay elements as well.
The levels and characters are otherwise well chosen.
Thanks Ned, I'll try to make some touches for Ryujin's txt file because I do believe he does play kinda slow and it makes him susceptible to being zerg rushed by multiple enemies during gameplay. I got most of the cutscenes done and I'm planning for third update of demo after stage 8 is done and I make Shungyosai's character txt file. Some suggestion to make it better.
-Try to add more dynamism to the gameplay (faster walk, dash, jump, 80% shorter delay for attacks frames.)
-Hitboxes (attack) tweaks. seems like your character sometimes wiffs in the middle of normal combo. (Don't hesitate to exagerate slightly the hitboxes, just slightly)
