In Progress Creating a TMNT mod suggestions comments ideas?

Sweet, thanks again for leatherhead.  Yeah I thought he was supposed to be in lab coat.  As far as good guys/bad guys.  I think that was always a grey area in tmnt.  Leatherhead and Rat King I see as semi-neutral.  Rat King isn't really bad guy imo, just a very strange guy :p

I wanted to use this Casey Jones but I don't think it's going to re-size well.

Sucks to have to re-size so many things, it never turns out well.  I don't have the time or skills to edit them after re-size.

This was my idea for Usagi's bases, but I haven't tried it properly yet.  Need to sort a palette, then do the head swaps.

thanks guys. And beastie anything i come up with its yours if you want. yea I considered using the GBA casey sprites but the size differences and lack of detail killed that idea so I'm working on editing his sega sprites. (if the idea for caseys sprites work for you when i finish his sheet ill upload it too)

Yea Rat King and Leatherhead both fit into a grey area since they have been both enemy and ally before. Storyline wise in the game facing leatherhead will most likely be a misunderstanding or based off his blind rage issues.

This game is making my head spin just trying to get sprites that fit size wise.

Thanks dude, same with my stuff.  I'm mainly working on Doom mod atm, I'll have more finished things for you eventually thou.

I know right?!? I thought it was going to be so easy to find enemies from other games, half the reason I started this.  But these tmnt sprites are a really odd size.  I've spend hours adding enemies in the game just to decide later they're no good and remove them again.  Really hate that I had to resize foot soldiers.

Turtles should be chunky but slightly shorter than human enemies, it's hard to get them right. That's why when I first started I reduced the turtles size so everything else would not need re-size.  But they looked too crappy.

Yeah after I've been thinking will probably have to use the SEGA sprites Casey.  Hadn't got that far, still only have 2 turtles in game.

edit - nice work on casey smart pal.  I didn't think he'd work out so well.
 
yea its been a struggle for enemy sprites but just kinda grinding away on the sprites the height thing has been a issue because its hard to tell how tall enemies should be especially mutants. Are you considering using Tokka and Rahzar ?

The right one is Abadede edit. I'm not sure about the left one (giant with hammer from Golden Axe 3?) but I'm sure it's not altered beast

Hmmm... what about using cartoon as reference? eh, I never seen them in cartoon before so I don't know which episode it would be.
 
The old cartoon was never very consistent for that sort of thing but I'm going to try it but idk if i will use them because whats Rahzar without Tokka so i have to come up with something there one is Abadede like Bloodbane said one is Roy Wilson 3 Count Bout and the last one I actually forgot what its from

BeasTie, IMO you should scale with "rotation sprite" tool.
It will save you a lot of time at editing sprite.
Give it a try! :)

Yeah I do use rotsprite, but that example was done in photoshop.  I really wish RotSprite had a batch mode.

I liked the other sprites because he could change weapons, but I think genesis will have to be used.  His stance and walking I don't like much either.
 
Beastie dont know if you got my message some Im just going to post the hun bases i had in mind here let me know what you think the first is Zues from world heroes the 2nd is Sheen Genus from Aggressors of Dark Combat

Yeah I just replied today, unless it didn't send.

These bases are really good, either could work, they would need re-size (after editing) by at least 80pct.

I'd prefer the 2nd one (Sheen Genus) for an edit because it suits the style I want and I'm going for a less cartoon-ish Hun.

I'm trying to make quick edits that won't take a lot of work... I'm not very patient with it.

Just trying ideas, like I said I'm taking a lot of creative license.  I want a stage where you fight them in various forms, different vehicle's and robot bodies. 

I still need a good base for their typical look in the robotic bodies. (without it looking like the terminator)

yea they look pretty good size wise at 80% compared to the turtles. I really like the krang robots what base did u make them from? I like the idea of different utrom enemies but I wanted to make a Krang enemy so he could be the boss so came up with this for his IDW style

BTW - I liked the Rhazar in the middle. (forgot to reply earlier)  Dunno if I want to add him, but if you code him for your game thou it might be cool if I add it somewhere.
 
Thanks Its not a perfect match but when i put the two next to each other they looked ok. Good call on the street fighter character looks as close to the robots they use in the comics as you can probably get. Rahzar I may add if I can make Tokka too but I havent had much luck with him so I'm probably just going to make Bebop & Rocksteady instead
 
sorry for the late reply works been really exhausting. I originally was going to use jack turner from AOF as a base for Bebop but he's just too round so I decided to go in another direction and this is the best idea i came up with so far

I like the bases you used for it. :)

Beebop seems oo fat and too slim  :-\
Using the fat one (based on AOF Jack) and make him a little slimer would be a good match.
