kimono I would say Marian is now only needed two more basic things and the she is okay (except what ever other new moves you may want to add). So she needs the 3 frames knee grabattack like Billy and also an jump stomp move. For the jump stomp she only needs two sprites. one for the transition from jump to stomp move and the second stomp sprite would be nice to have her landing with both knees on the enemies.

By the way about the weapons, you can make just her sprites but do not add the actuall weapons on them. These let me add them by myself.

southpawstance I'm sorry but i'm not interested on any other Kunio version like this neo geo version you showed.

Yes, I had this in my mind as well! (even I also thought about her butt slam from DD on Negeo)
But, yes, the dive knee is the best option, and easier to swap.  8)

About Lynn, I would feel it a little weird to have her here.
I like ROTD, but I somewhat consider this game out of DD universe, more like a spinoff.

You work really fast. I think I could fix few stuff around before Magggas scale them.

Here are the news from Marian:
- Added grab knee attack
- Double jump/stomp knee attack

I've made a test with the Kunio character: I modified his arms and he have a new head like requested. I've don't change his outfit that much.

Good! I personally would have put her knees down for the double knee. But the sheet looks overall ok!
If Magggas is ok to wait a bit so I can do some fixes.

Also, I have to be sure it's the 100% completed version, So I will not upgrade a sprite that will be deleted.
I think I can do it pretty fast, but I have to be sure.

If Magggas's game was not scalled. I would have just created an alternate sprite set that anyone can put to update the game, but I prefer to make sure he scale it with his exact values.  :)

Okay, now about Kunio, yes he looks overal better! There is only one thing that still bothering me tho. Please close his mouth! Even if his face is looking better now, i will still prefer that he is not having his mouth open at all while on idle/walk animations.

As about Marian's new grabattack and jump/stomp knee attack sprites, i'm not happy with both, sorry  :-\ Here are the examples of what i actually wanted:

And these examples are counting for both Marian and Kunio. Which means, Kunio will need to have all the rest same reaction and throw sprites you have made for Marian. He will also need this grabattack like Billy instead of his original.

nedflandeurse Oh yeah, exactly that was one more reason i have made the game with such sprites. I mean, your intentions would have been good of course, but there are a lot of idiots out there who just adding one character to a game, and then reupload the game with an new name like it's their game entirely. But anyway, the main reason was that i don't like to work with tiny sprites.

Now about the fixes you like to make to Marian, once Kimono will be done with these last requests of me, Marian should be complete for my part. So after that you could better ask Kimono about "if" and "what" else he maybe will add to Marian. And after all, Marian sprites are his work so he needs to be asked for this anyway.

I really feel the same about people editing stuffs. When they claim it's their own work.
You know that even if I cannot progress in my own works, I always like to contribute to others project with ideas or sprites.

I'm also pretty OK with what you says about body position for these moves.

seeing these knee drop sprites make me think I really need to start this Kunio game remake project with bigger big/fighter type sprites.

Well that's not necessarily the right thing to do also. Personally as i said many times, i don't have a problem if someone will gonna edit any of my games. This is something to be expected due to what we all have to do in order to start somehow with the OpenBOR coding, and i'm okay with it. I'm also okay if these people will release to the publice their edited versions, as long as they will not change the title of my games and try to pass them out as new creations by them, just because they added one new character or two. Istead in such cases they sould released it with it's original title and add the information that this is just a hacked version of  "original title bla bla.". They also have to make clear who the original author is on any place they will post it. The thing is, most people are not doing all this in the right way as i suggested and there is where my problem will start if so.

And since i think that this is more or less how the most game authors feel/think about it, you should better ask the guy who made the original game if he is okay that you will release your version. You know, talking is a good thing  ;)
But anyway, let's close this subject.
 
Yes, back to this mod...do you think that the multi-kick from Kyouko (also from Kunio-tachi no Banka) would be another special move for Marian? Can't find any sprites from her, but it would be cool! What do you think?

Whoa! He looks like he's based on the art version, which is pretty great! :) I believe you followed the original art for spriting as a base for his head, right? Maybe Riki could join the roster, but I'm not sure about the female partners from the SNES one. However, I assume you could do those (Kunio's friends and enemies).

I can wait, and I can help you fixing Marian's sprites when they are 100%done.

Sadly, I'm not really good to rip sprites, I usually use existing sprite sheets to avaoid color or display problems.

In my game, the main character cannot use palette remap, because she have unconsistent palette organisation. :/

Just some news, I ripped all the enemies sprites from Kunio-kun and maybye can help to do a Kunio-Kun adventure mod.
I'm just waiting Marian to be playable :)

Maggas, how did you come up with the concept of WWF meet Double Dragon?  I just watched your video of Hulk Hogan and another wrestler fighting in this custom version and it was great!  Please continue your work. This video brought up fond memories of the 80’s!

It's the eternal problem with this game that made i can't play it. Use an old OpenBor version and only work on PC.
Impossible to play with it on PI on Switch on all other systems that can only compile the last build 😰
