Another incredible piece of work by a Mugen veteran, Falchion22/MugenWorks. What caught my attention the most in this game was the care taken to maintain the essence of the original game while adding new elements, all in harmony.

One of the important points was keeping the battle on two planes, something that was the trademark of the series and that is not easy to do in Mugen (the game uses Mugen 1.1), since Elecbyte removed the Z axis at the time of WinMugen. He also kept the animated versus screen, with the narrator announcing the fighters.

The new content, such as new moves for all characters, blends in very well with the old content, and only those who knew the original game will be able to identify it - the first time I saw this game in my life was on a Neo Geo and I never forgot it, because it was precisely the Tung Fu Rue stage, when it started to rain and when the character started to transform and became a strong guy, I was amazed.

And best of all: there are no random DJs who are friends of the company owner :)

Fan work highly recommended!

Thanks. Yes Falchion22 do some great job since he's back after so many years !
I tried it few days ago, but it makes me feel like playing it again.
By any chance do you know how to retore pixel rendering. I mean no blurry filter.
I remember tweaking it easily in Winmugen, but here fo some reasons, I cannot find it in the config files.

I totally agree. I was also thinking about buying the game but I decided against it.

They could have made the DJ a cameo on the same level as the Duck King, even interacting with him in the story at some point. But as a playable character? It doesn't make sense.

I had the same issue. Its on the Mugen.cfg, you need to change the render mode.
But the game was developed using a resize on the video mode, so it can get slow once you change it

I know buddy hahaha. His dropkick is nasty aswell. He kept getting me with the headbutt because i was going throw grab happy but he was having none of my nonsence so it was my own fault lol. They did a fantastic job on this. I love it :)
 
I recently saw a video on YouTube and it took me a couple of seconds to realize it was not a Rom Hack. VERY impressive. Some of the stuff like having 2 planes and other features this fangame has I didn't even think was possible with MUGEN. I'm downloading it right now.

The funniest thing is that he copied the entire text, including my personal experience watching the Tung Fu Rue level for the first time, lol.

He did the same thing with the Mega Man Robot Master Mayem video, which is in first person and made it look like he made it, hahaha.

This is DMCA - the copied text carries the high value of the author in the case of ''O Ilusionista'' but given the higher rank of YouTube, Google redirects the search there, not to chronocrash.

It seems he replaced the text on YouTube again with one copied from somewhere else - I'm not sure.
