Project is completed.
Hmmm, not a bad choice for boss music but it's worth the shot my friend. And I'll do what I can to add Cao Ren or Xu Huang from Knights of Valour 2 in the mod that I am almost finished.

who knows, maybe we might see updated versions with playable bosses from IGS's The Gladiator and Knights of Valour 2.

if there's a survival mode, I recommend this music: Whirlwind from Samurai Warriors 4.

And here it is folks, the four part long video of the eighth and final stage of Knights of the Round Revenge mod's Calamity Within Camelot storyline. And it looks like the heroes are storming the castle due to the rebel forces pulling a surprise attack on the castle stronghold in Camelot, England known as Tingatel Castle. Here's part one of the stage 8 preview, the other parts will be uploaded shortly.

So... they... befriended the giant? That's really cool, actually. Provides more of a sense of power to the battles. You have your big guns, they have theirs.

I am very happy that you like the character development that I gave to the giant monk Xiahou and the kunoichi Ayame in this stage as they are not really evil to begin with, Garibaldi's crazy little brother Arlon pretty much strong armed the both of them along with their ninja troupe into helping him take down Arthur and his companions so he can steal the holy grail. But  look at the bright side, at least the bosses from stage 6 join forces with the heroes after the both of them along with Muramasa realized that Arlon riled them up into attacking the wrong side.

fascinating Dynasty Warriors fashion to have troops aid the player here.

I predict the boss fight music against Arlon like this...

Isolation from Dynasty Warriors 7

Good choice Kazahara, the thing  is that I already added isolation as the final boss music. It will probably be on the rest of the videos of stage 8 that I am uploading right now.

Here are the other videos of stage 8, which includes the bouts against the boss characters Garland, Balbars (the bosses from stages 3 and 4.) as well as Agravaines, and of course the Silver Emperor himself Arlon.

possible boss ideas I have for the War in Asia storyline:

Sun Ji (from Knights of Valour)
Lu Xun (from Knights of Valour)
Lu Meng (from Knights of Valour)
Gan Ning (from Knights of Valour)
Huang Gai (from Knights of Valour)
Zhou Tai (from Knights of Valour)
Xiahou Yuan (from Knights of Valour)
Yumeji Kurokouchi (from Samurai Shodown)
Neptune (from Denjin Makai)
Shiden (from Denjin Makai)
Jubei (from the SNES Ninja Warriors)

Personally I'd vouch for Xiahou Yuan, Gan Ning and Huang Gai to be both bosses and playables.

I'll see what I can do Kazahara, even though the Muramasa storyline will revolve around something entirely different beside the war against Asia. But then again, I'll try to add some of the Knights of Valour characters like Cao Ren or Zhang He, or better yet, the KOV2 version of Ma Chao as Galahad when he comes into age as an adult Round Table knight.

Today I just finished making the  entire mod of Knights of the Round Revenge and I'm sharing a link to the module's folder on this here website. and I would also like to thank everyone for their support and advice while I was making this project, it's been a long journey for me and I might make more beat em up  modules in the future. now if anyone has any problems or experience crashes while playing my mod, let me know and i will try to fix it. At any case, enjoy yourselves and stay gaming my friends! here's the downloadable link for the Knights of the Round Revenge folder: http://www.mediafire.com/file/sllwn9uq4yq3yd2/KotRR.zip Here's also an alternate link if you to download just the pak. file: http://www.mediafire.com/file/48r9q4gffyyya9c/Knights_of_the_Round_Revenge.pak

oh I forgot, you see I was trying to change different songs that would suit the stages and add so many character data folders from existing mod projects that i got carried away adding so much stuff and I'll gonna try to fix that problem. That was my fault Nedflanderuse.

I don't have time to go through everything, but I found some easy fixes off the bat.

Run Kingherb's killthumbs batch in your data folder before you pack. It will delete the cache databases Windows creates for thumbnail views. Those things can oft times double the size of an image folder.

  • Music folder is bloated, with some files at 20MB+. Unless it's a very, VERY special case, that kind of size is nowhere near justifiable. I'm guessing it's one or more of the following:
    1. Encoding your music files at much higher quality than they were originally mastered. That's just wasting space - revisit the bit-rate.
    2. Loops recorded into the track - OpenBOR has a looping point feature that will handle this for you.
    3. More than one track in a file - split the tracks up. You can swap tracks live in response to time, location, events, etc.
  • Cut-scenes folder is pushing 200MB. Using animated gifs to make cut scenes is fine or quick transitions, but a massive bloat for anything bigger. OpenBOR supports video, and you should consider taking advantage of this. Video files are big too, but not as big as a .gif of the same length and will get you better quality to boot.
  • Unused resources. There's a good chance you have stuff floating around that is not in the finished product. Some authors here have posted tools that can help with that (I don't recall them off the top of my head), or you can clean up the old fashioned way.
  • There's a lot of other things you can do, using .png, more efficient background layouts, and so on, but those would require a ground up reworking and probably aren't worth it at this point. The stuff above though shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours and would likely cut your .pak size in half.

In any case, congrats on the release. It's not easy seeing any project to the end. ;D

Please, let us know when you've skimmed the files, I wanted to download it, but 700 MB is way too much for a mod (and I'm almost full on my drive here).

Also, mind to use another mirrors like MEGA, Dropbox or Google Files? That would be super handy. Thanks a lot. You're awesome! <3
