Do you mean all characters can turn around now? Or just the ones who can already fly? Won't that take away the sense of a high speed chase from these levels?
true, and i reduced a lot BG speed of this leves, everyone can turn, because was boring when a enemy come from behind and you wait for him pass by you to hit him.
...btw, i forgot to point the must important change at sky levels, it uses keymove script now, (thanks bloodbane), now you can move while you attack.

It makes sense.

I suppose you can keep the illusion of chase by changing speed according to both direction of movement AND facing.

Move right + face right = normal speed
Move left + face right = slow speed
move left + face left = very fast speed

I think you should have them turn with "jump" button, instead of just pushing backwards, because it's good strategy to move back but keep facing while shooting. Specially now with keymove script (great addition!)

Random thought: In the streets of New York, I fought Mr. X's syndicate thugs. Are they still in?

yeap, after mr. x be defeated, kingpin hired all his thugs.

Of course Wolverine should be slower with claws! Mother always says you shouldn't run with a knife!
</ba-dum-tsss>. I still think he needs a better Special, something more angry. Like after the jump he starts a really fast combo with bigger range and still advancing (like XCotA berserker barrage).

You should change WarMachine's combo finisher sound effect. It sounds funny. :P Maybe you could add an electrical discharge to his hands.

We've talked a lot about Storm these days, and you've certainly improved her.
The ice storm is excellent, but I think it should take a little longer to summon it (use old special animation, but make her rise in the air during it, and start snow almost at the end), and maybe it's youtube but it looks like the snow is coming one direction and the ice on enemies form on opposite direction.  ???
I think she's "walking" too fast now - or maybe that's you runnning, but we can't tell without different sprites (maybe add some rushing wind around her).
Also, is her lightning bolt animation faster too? I noticed it takes less time to charge it, but it seems gone too fast, I can barely see it in video (youtube, is that you again?). I wouldn't mid if it was slower to charge, but hit a couple of times on a slightly bigger area. Special aside, her attacks never hit more than one enemy...
Her flying kick, well, I'd rather give her a projectile - she's not melee and even cyclops can shoot from the air, why can't she? You could remedy that with the other air attack, by making it longer but keeping her in place during it.

As for Thor, HUZZAH! Those Asgardian warriors are fantastic! But what really made my day was seeing his lightning bolt special I really hated that he couldn't shoot a bolt forward.

im not doing sounds effects yet, this warmachine sound should be something which come with a copy&paste.
...
i want to add a tornado to storm, maybe it would fit to her air projectile.
...
li incressed lighting speed anim.. maybe to much....

thanks for all sugestions.

yeah, I figure sounds aren't done/haven't started yet.

By the way, I meant to ask: how does fly mode work exactly? Did you implement BloodBane's script already? In his video, IronMan seemed to stay on air longer and didn't fall. Storm and the others seemed to be gently hovering down, but that's it.

Last post, I forgot to give my thoughts on Vision: nothing wrong with him, but I'm sure about "intangible" Special. It's not really worth it, is it? you become invisible, but that lasts as long as you don't attack. Ok, fine, but this is a fighting game, not infiltration. Couldn't he just stay intangible for some time (or until MP becomes zero)? During that, he's invulnerable to enemies, so he can attack them without worries of getting hit.
On the other hand, you could make him cause damage when walking through enemies.

From marvel.wikia:
Physical Disruption: The Vision can use his density control offensively by attaining minimum density (intangibility). Passing a part of all of his body within another living being and ever so slightly increasing his density (tangibility). Even increasing his density to one half ounce (14.25 grams) is sufficient to cause the organism he passes through excruciating pain, a shock to the nervous system, and unconsciousness. Were he to become any more dense than one half ounce the shock would probably kill the other organism if the organic damage was not extensive enough to kill the other organism in itself. Accordingly, the Vision employs this power with extreme caution.

Also, since he can change his density, he could share Colossus passive skill and deflect bullets (or just let them pass through him):
Density Control: The Vision's body has been saturated with special cybernetically activated cells which are capable of interfacing with some unknown dimension with which he can shunt or accrue particles of mass. Thus the Vision is able to control his density and solidity. By shunting a non-critical portion of his body's molecules away from him, he can become a weightless, transparent, intangible wraith, unable to be touched by solid matter. By accruing extradimensional mass and fortifying his body with it, he can make his body extremely hard and durable to the point that missiles will not harm him.

fly mode:
to active you press block button at air.
if press jump you fall
and any air attack cancel it
you can control char on horizontal plane, while he decress his vertical position slowly.
- to mr fantastic you cant control his direction, since he cant fly, he just fall slowly in same jump direction
- to spider and venom they stay at air, you cant movement around

....
im not a expert, but so far i remember at 90' comics, when Vision become intangibility he are not invisible.
it is part of his special, he does a breakout move with a short range, which does 60% of damage if compare with other default specials, then you become intangibility, your mp dont recovery, and you are able to do one attack only at this mode, which does more 60%, you can stay on this mode forever, but time over could kill you, benefit is choise calmly which enemy will take damage.
...
and bullets already pass through him when you block, i dont tink it should be a passive skill.

I am not a fan of the non-claw wolverine mode (because it won't make much sense), but I respect your decision.
About War machine, as I said at IMT, why the flamethrower is a multiple hit move but only the last one sets the enemy on fire?

For me, that's nostalgic gold: my introduction to X-Men was the first genesis game.
And if you'd like to rationalize things, remember that in the cartoon, he only used his claws against robots and non-living enemies. Blood and severed limbs in a 90's cartoon was a "No! No!" :P

to comics fans
Nothing on this list is Final, any sugestion is welcome:

One thing you should change is the word "Agile" (adjective). Use "Agility" (noun).

I'm looking at summons for now.
You have two type of Agents (black and silver)? good!
Beast and Mr. Fantastic could call a robot or ship or something (but he's doing that with his special, so I don't know).
Cyclops could call both Bishop and Iceman (don't know how powerful they are, but he is the leader of x-men on several occasions).
It's too bad you can't have characters call other playable characters. Gambit could call Rogue. Black Cat could call Spiderman...

By the way, I see Quicksilver in that list.... he would make a great "biker" type of striker, running in and out of screen and hitting things. Now, if you make him playable but don't make Scarlet Witch playable too, you're in big trouble, mister!  >:(

;)

yes maybe you can use script to summon some playable character as npc if he is not being used

like torch/ spiderman
blackcat/spiderman

i will use a similar script  but dont had time yet to create but the idea is:

when player torch or player blackcat pick the radio they spawn spiderman npc, then on spawn animation of spiderman npc it will check if p1 or p2 or p3 or p4 are using spiderman
if someone are using spiderman kill entity spiderman npc
else
do nothing and spiderman npc will be on screen

he only used his claws against robots and non-living enemies. Blood and severed limbs in a 90's cartoon was a "No! No!" :P
one of the things I most HATED on the cartoons...this is something I will fix on my game *Bison/Vega laughs*

Deadpool's super that uses mp is grabbing his lifebar then hit it on the enemy (He is a 4th wall breaker, right? RIGHT?!).

i agree with ilu, there are not a good reason to wolverine fight without claws, but i already said to him it is more about my love for first genesis x-men game, and like he said, he understand that.
....
@icebeam, exactly.

Zvitor, I have an idea which can help your game, and won't take too long to add: riseattacks.
Since in your game the special (or breakout) moves cost mp, there are times where the enemies gets too close to you and knocks you down, and you will be helpless when you rise.

So, I think you could do two things:

1- add a rise attack. You can simple duplicate the last attack from your attack sequency (Like flamethrower for War Machine) without any bbox, so its invencible.
2- you could add some riseinv so the chars would have some few moments of invencibility when they rise, or snipers could abuse the long range attacks

Quicksilver will be playable?
