I am sorry for my long absence, but I have had little time available.

I hope that everyone is well in these difficult moments that we have to live. :(


Last year it didn't leave me much margin between work and study, but it always gave me a little time to continue with my project. I made several general changes to the structure of the game before continuing with the new stages and enemies.

-I started by rearranging the sprites of the pain animations of all the enemies, making it more practical for when I have to create new ones.
- When modifying the sprites, I had to change all the animations of each enemy, to adjust the offset to the new system.
- I modified Orchid's third fatality with a new one, because it was very difficult to adapt new enemies to animation.
- I changed all the screens of the "Move List" of each character, using the "Bitmap Font" Program to make the letters more readable.
- I made a new structure of the paths of adventure, so that some of the most spectacular scenarios and bosses were not left out, so that no matter the path you take, they will always go through those great stages.
- I made modifications in the movements of some heroes, as for example now Lui Kang can give a burst of punches, as he does in Street Fighter "E.Honda" when pressing the attack button many times.

And some more fixes that greatly optimized the operation of the game ...


As for the new ones, I already have some robotic enemies, totally finished.
New stages with traps, surveillance cameras that activate huge Machine guns, so you have to go unnoticed using stealth to survive.

I hope to share some of the progress soon, but I can assure you that the project is more alive than ever.

Yes, I thought about you when I saw it. ^^

I'm pretty sure, a lot of games take inspiration in fan games.
We had the proof so many times.

I started thinking that when I first saw the sprite of Balrog/boxer in SVC on Neo Geo.
Basically 2 years before, some spriter at Mugen community did a sprite that SNK just "used" as a rerefrence.
It was obvious.

And a lot of companies do this I think.

Glad your still working on it Dante.  Awesome game.  Would like an easy mode and and dizzy on enemies for easier crowd control maybe make the dizzy a critical chance.

Regarding the difficulty, I can tell you that one of the changes I made is to increase the health bar of the heroes to double.  That is to say that now you have 200 health, instead of 100. That changes the gameplay when it comes to facing enemies and you don't lose lives that fast.

It's good to see you back again, buddy. Those changes looks good, specially about the pain/fall animations (its something I should had done before too).

Yeah, I was one who didn't liked Robocop idea too much, lol.
 
Do you plan to add Terminator too? Because, in this case Midway steals all your good ideas ;):
One of the best crossover ever.

But when everything is finished, it would be an interesting possibility ...

Even though I haven't posted anything for a long time, I assure you I'm still working hard on the game.
I'm creating a series of new robot enemies, which we'll face when the game plot leads us to have to enter ULTRATECH, the company responsible for creating Fulgore. At the end of those levels we will face Fulgore himself.
After beating it will become a selectable character, as it is currently selectable from the beginning because the game is just a demo.
Soon I will be sharing more news about my work.


I am currently working on the new robot enemies and have already had several headaches.
To start the 4-legged enemy that you can not grab it, it was quite a challenge to encourage it and make it work properly, but the result looks very good.

In addition to those robots, I also have another named SENTINEL, who would be like the basic enemy of the previous gangs.
You can grab this robot, but that's when I find myself with a problem, since I don't want fatalities to be performed.

The idea that I have would be the following:

If you grab this robot (SENTINEL) and kill him with the uppercut to perform the fatality:

PLAYER: After executing the Uppercut, return to the idle animation

SENTINEL: After being eliminated by any of the 4 uppercuts of the different fatalities, it executes a specific death.
That is, the same death regardless of whether you execute any of the 4 fatalities.


The idea would be to create a death where the robot gets back on its feet and explodes its head, then its body falls headless.

This same operation I want to use it for other robots that I have in mind.

That is, you can grab them, but you cannot execute the fatalities, but if you eliminate them with any of the fatalities uppercut, the robot will die with a custom death, but the player return to the idle animation.

For now I'm stuck on this and can't find a way to get it working properly.



Meanwhile, here's a sample of one of the new enemies.
This current one just like a bike, but to take it down we must give it a few strikes.
He also has the particularity of always attack where the hero is, making him a very annoying and dangerous enemy.
To make this possible, I use the scripts of Bloodbane of his Crime Buster mod.

It was not easy for me to find robot enemies that fit the game correctly, but this particular enemy looks very good and was perfect.

Currently I am ripping 2 characters from the Rise of the Robots PC game, since their graphics are much superior to the versions of Genesis Megadrive or that of SupesNes.

Another game I discovered recently and thought about ripping some characters is Cyberlaw.

About the other games, I know the Overkill and it has some interesting characters, the other two games I'm going to take a look at them.
