Night Slashers: Remake

This make me appreciate Sor4 even more, I even got it for the phone.
They could have tried a different approach with NSR, fighting a horde of zombies would be fun with a emphasis on crowd control. FightnRage does this very well with a ton of enemies on screen.
Mod support would be cool.

I can clearly see how enemies AI were toned down. In the original, some enemies are deadlier than this.
I have to commend them for fixing Golem's FALL animation which looks better now.

Naturally, I had to respond to this comment. I have no official connection with the engine, but it really irritates me when someone makes a derogatory comment about the engine without having ANY KNOWLEDGE about what they are talking about.

Even though there are things about it that I don't like on BonuzJ's verison, there's no denying that it has much better gameplay.

Now think about it - this version, made for free by fans (actually, just one person) in 2008, is far superior to a commercial product that has an entire team of people working on it.

I just did a playthrough of this. It plays alot better than the demo but it has massive bugs and its too easy (And i played it on Normal) Also the first stage is missing? Its not awful but the OG is better ( And some of the animations are broken)

i don't know about the remake, but when it comes to NSX that is one of the things that gets a bit messed up IMO...

in the original arcade intro, the story of how they actually meet is told, first we see jake enter the forest house and save the family, game cuts to a demo where you can see how Jake does some moves then his bio card , after that Jake and the family move out of the house and they encounter Christopher beating up a teen wolf, we see a demo of chri´s moves and then his bio, finally, Chris and Jake realize a zombie horde is coming, and Hong Hua saves the day using her electric dragon attack, followed by her demo and bio....

on NSX, all of the characters seem to have already met & walk the forest and end up in the house,
on my view the only way to fix this is to create a new attract mode, or make tutorial type stages (set in the past) for characters that are only available in single player...

That's actually the first stage, it's bonusjz's version of Night Slashers that has the extra stages.
Oh i see , Thanks buddy im so used to playing that version . It has been years since i played the actual original version hahaha.

I finally had time to play this and I really have nothing good to say apart from they did a better job with the story and trying to give it more cohesion, everything else is absolutely terrible.

Did you also find it too easy? "I played it on normal and it was handing out extra lives like it was going out of fashion lol" @danno

I don't mind easy if it's fun, it was easy and boring, nothing fit together well, I'm tempted to show all the things but its actually is the entire game, I might make a video on it.
