But not interesting for me, it's not what i search with this game.
He has change the intro of the game, i don't really like, and all is in chineese now ...
Really i prefer an update of the original game, all same but in 16/9 with 4 player option and more characters, but polish characters.
 
I've downloaded, extracted the data folder, and compared the files.
It's in english, the correct youtube video is on first post, the last video is only a chinese differente version.
He has been updated using my update  ;D
Therefore the latest and best version is the new one of dexameta , now with an instruction manual.

I will play it soon!

Glad to see some more updates of this mod.

I'm a bit confused.
I feel like there is 2 different ppl upgrading the game their own way.
This one seems to be another project of update.

anyone can confirm it ?

I sometime feel it would be nice to combine skills instead of making nearly 2 variations of the same mod.

I have the same feeling in mugen community when someone upgrade a color separation for a sprite set.
2 ppl do similar work, it takes long time. If they combine their work, the result can be better and less "exhausting"

it is not a that bad, life of end AKA Dexameta is most probably on board when it comes to combining the work if i cant figure out what to do.
I stink making characters & scripting, but there is still tons of things to do that i can actually accomplish, & just in case that i kick the bucket or something, he knows of some stuff that i want to add.

At this point i do have a plan for what i want to add to the game & Ash's ending, but it will take a long time - money could actually help, but i have no way to collect it.

The only way is to have a "treasurer" for the project, & it would be as follows: 

we collect money not to create A game, but to create characters, monsters & levels.

all the New characters  monsters & levels will make their "debut" in the next NIghtslashers X update, & they will be available for anyone to use in their own mods...

that is the way i had a patreon set up, but it was closed after a few days after they asked about my "internet" situation.... (they need people to log in from the same machine & same IP)

so the only thing left is to put a link here using my signature i guess, but at least i want to show some new content before any collecting starts...

Sometimes I feel like I should create a PATREON, so I can pay  some programer/coder to help me making my game project.
Because I can sprite, but my coding is kindergarden level.
This is why I cannot progress anymore in WA project. And I think no one actually have interest into my game so, creating a patreon would be a bad idea (for mine) :-[

Not necessarily, like i mentioned before, the Patreon can feature levels or tiers, tier one is just for support, 1 cent, 10 cents, 20 cents , a dollar, just because.

tier 2 could be your character sprite sets, level 3 character scripts & movesets, level 4 complete character with sounds, scripts & moves, & so on...

you don't have to offer the full game, & you can release the characters before the game if you want.

Things Patreon does want from you is: the same IP address, your ID docs for tax purposes, you will need to fill out a tax form for your country or US work permit.

This might work, I donate to some of the members here, I can donate to you, It won't be much because I lost my job this year but it's a start.

the main problem with patreon is that there are no easy options to allow one-time donations, they want credit card info from donors so they can charge every month,
so

1: most people would like to donate but don't trust having their credit info on something that may start charging them weird fees (see how hard it is to get out of a gym membership in the US, once they have your credit card info)

2 people can't make a commitment to spare you 5 dollars every month like clockwork, it is more realistic to help someone out in different amounts at different times...

About PATREON, it was just some idea I had in mind, but I don't know much about it.
I personally don't like this system, for personal reasons.
What I would prefer is either one of these choices (exchange of skills)

-A-Working with some skilled programmer, really interested in WA project, and include his ideas/suggestions as well. I can sprite almost any character.
OR
-B-Some exchange with some skilled programmer, he helps coding WA project, I help spriting his characters in his own MOD

Actually, about "A", I already have a possible plan with some programmer, but he don't want to use Openbor, He want's to use (Unreal or Unity, I cannot remember). I don't like the idea all my work since 2012/2013 have to be started from scratch, and I cannot adjust anything, if it happens. Still have to think about it, perhaps it's an opportunity since here, perhaps 90% of members are just "download ninjas", who connect to download games. Not many creators, end even less creators with some free time.

i have been a lazy bum...

& dislike the results of the stuff i have been trying to do, graphically & functionally - i could fix the stuff wrong/still missing with the 2020 update - but the truth is people are better off finishing the december 2019 thing first - & then use the 2020 or "latest" as their second run/party game.

I want to add more levels - i want "localized" zombies, more enemies, & 3 unlockables, Hong Hua, fix "Ash's mirror limb"& a couple of things more - unfortunately i don't want to mess things up too much so i still work with the Original 2019 release & the old Openbor - & will need help to adapt 2020 Aska to it later.

another issue is i don't like magic bars for the specials, no matter how hard the game is -
it is something that fits a mobile/single player version better,
but for 4 players....
specials are easy to spam with 4 players - but at least if they drain health players have something to loose.

maybe a script that could activate MP based special  attacks based on how many players are on the field could make this work.

So if you are a single player - special uses the MP - low mp health combo -

2 players MP drains twice as fast,
3 players MP is drained 3 times as fast -
4 Players MP is not even present , Health is the total cost

its quite a mess - i can work with the newer engine if i can fix the elevator thing, & if i succeed on making the enemies run my "special feature", the way enemies behave compared to the old version will become a moot issue....

For sure a script ca do the trick, it's a good idea to reduce players magic usability

I wish you will find for this point, because we are many to play on modern platform .with last engine ..
