Resident Evil: Survive

In Progress Resident Evil: Survive (OPENBOR Game) 3

No permission to download
The project is currently under development.
I'm still testing the game.
I like the diversity of characters.
Jill from RE3 is my fav. You did soem very decent work with the custom sprite. Including the melee "flip kick" from RE4.
Would you consider adding her "head grab" move from RE4 ?

OTG attacks would be great for all characters. (taken directly from the melee attacks)
Not hard to code actually.

A suggestions to upgrade easily your custom sprites.
Darker outlines can be a bit lighter on areas exposed to light. (upper areas)
I did some very fast and lazy edit in one of your custom sprites. (arms, legs, boots, blue top upper area)
Hope it can help.

Hey thanks for your comments! Yeah RE3 Jill is also my personal favorite. She is my special girl.

Yeah I had the intention at some point of adding the head grab from RE5 but didn't make it mostly because I thought it would be a mess.

I've been so into in the Modern Warfare takedowns because they look so cool and creative so I got inspired by these instead. I hate so much the normal grab attacks and these animations inspired me to try something different, specially considering most of RE cast is formed by militaries:

This is a work in progress but these pretty much serve as finishers when grabbing an enemy. In order to balance things slightly these still work as (very strong) normal grab attacks on bosses

Does anyone here remember this one?

I played this module back around 2011/2012 on my old FAT model PS2. At the time, I had no idea what OpenBOR was; I only discovered the engine—and so many other cool modules—years later, around 2017/2018. =)
For me, RES ends up being nostalgic in a different or strange way. I'm going to test it out now...
;)

I played a few rounds with some characters and thought it was really cool that Jill has so many special moves. =D Man, I laughed so hard at Jill dancing! That was unexpected—I hadn't read the manual and just happened to input the command... and "WTF... LOL!" XD

The sprites for the enemies and playable characters are really well-made and charming! Level sections aren't too long or too short, which is great because the gameplay doesn't get tedious. And man... that target-shooting minigame was cool too; the only thing missing was the dog going to fetch the crows. ^^ And that merchant riding off on his bicycle... HAHAHA! Nice touches that give the whole thing a great vibe... like "Jill's Sandwich!"

I'm going to follow the project from now on and subscribe to your channel.
Thanks a lot for the great work!
Keep going... don't give up... you're not just a dev, you're a true artist too! ;)
