Hey guys it's been a long time but I finally completed Rushing Beat version 1.

I still have to finish the alternate levels and add a few more things but the core game is complete. Hope you guys enjoy and thanks for the support.

Changes from the original:

-Better hit boxes and attack boxes.
-New moves and animations for Norton and Ozzie.
-Rising attack for both characters pressing up + attack that can also be preformed by pressing down up + attack .
-Running animations and attacks.
-New grab attacks and slams.
-A neutral jump attack and a forward jump attack.
-Can escape enemy grabs although I made the timing difficult.
-Some attacks while in angry mode are more powerful and actually have new sprites or effects to showcase this rather than just a palette change and slams like the original.
-Can get damaged while in angry mode, but you don't go into pain animation and attacks don't cause as much damage.
-Can't pick up weapons while in angry mode (don't really know how to script this for now).
-New weapons and weapon animations.
-More enemy variety and attacks.
-Bosses have more moves and are more unique.
-Added new traps and stage elements.
-Intro and Ending based on Japanese version with added story elements.

by the way, mediafire doesn't let you download the whole package, just individual files.
It would be better with an individual file, like a zip

Ohh I didn't know that. Ok I will make it a zip and make some screenshots.

Thanks for recording this. I see some things I can improve on with enemies and such. You destroyed most of the bosses without them doing much. I have to make some of them tougher and more life it seems. I think I made the game easy by putting in too many continues also lol. I noticed you didn't really do the player's down up special.

I wanted to make the player be able to pick up weapons while in angry mode so you have increased attack power and all that, but it's beyond my level of coding ability for now.
 
Finally, you got your own openbor version of Rushing Beat. You had fun from the previous versions, so, it's to enjoy this new one. Once again, Thanks Joshiro!

hehehe in fact, he is pretty skilled in Beat em Ups, that is why :)
Some enemies reacts without a warning, which makes them a little hard than they should - and they are simple enemies from the start of the game

I've recorded a quick gameplay

Some feeback:
- I think you should add the word REMAKE to the title screen (using one of the game fonts)
- The phrase READY in the select screen covers the big portraits. Just put it lower on the screen
- the big guy D, U+A is very fast, but the way it lands on the ground is a little weird (he kinda slides on it)

Nice work. Do you plan to add more elements to the game?
 
Looks very good! I never have seen a purely Rushing Beat mod. Great mod!

Do you plan on creating a mod for the sequel, Rushing Beat Ran? Anyway, Excellent!

No problem buddy :D also about not using the down up special this was literally my first time playing it i was learning the moves/throws ect as i was playing hahaha so didn't really think about it to be honest. Anyway's great stuff im glad you finished your game and with some update's here and there you could make it even better.

Maybe I'll make the enemies a little easier in the first level. Glassjaw is in the process of making a new title screen for me. I'll fix the placement of the"READY". Thanks for letting me know.

That slide is intentional. I guess maybe I should just leave the angry version to have the slide?

Thank you. Yeah, I want to add alternate routes and new bosses for the routes. I originally was going to add 4 players but I changed my mind. I'm going to add it in the sequels.

I like this hidden route very much, it's always nice to have some easter eggs or secret rooms  ;D

Maybye one day, I will recolor and add a Kung Fury palette (if you have a full spritesheet of them) of Rick Norton / Jack Flak, Douglas Bild / Oozie Nelson can have some SF Bison palettes :)

played it last night, very nice game man, still gueting my butt kicked by those crouching jumping dudes lol, love the slams and ground punchs, the rage mode is awsome too, out of curiosity how did you make it ?
