Starting in an specific group in a stage

Maybe the question is wrong, but what I mean is, I want to try an specific spot in at already designed stage, with its groups, entities, etc, so I want to add this new light/vfx/npc at a certain coord and I don't want to defeat everyone each time to get to that point.

Is there something I can do before entering a stage to test that specific spot everytime I need to? like, I want to test the spawnings at coord xxx and see if I did them well.

I am so old at this that maybe there is a way to do this already lmao.
 
In build 4.0, there is a cheat for that.
But in 3.0, you have to do it manually. What I do is: I add a new freespecial on the testing character and add a big attackbox with a huge damage (or use smartbomb).
Usually I made it very fast with delay like 2 and use just 2 frames, with the attackbox on the last one.

With this I can pass through the stage without hassle.
 
When I want to test a specific point, usually I remove all the other stuff before this point in the level file.

But when I want to test the whole level intact before reaching this specific point, similar to the Ilu's method, I enable a script to increase the player's offense value to 999 in order to kill all the enemies faster.
 
For testing groups or waits, I usually create Fake version of a level with lesser and easier enemies. I run playtests with fake version before copying it to the actual level.
 
Ah I see, I kinda test the same way but through brute force making any character attack1 to have 9999 damage lmao. I thought there might be an option for that, or maybe modders tool to test it somehow, but it's ok, I was just curious and thanks for the ideas, I will combine this methods.
