In Progress Streets of Rage 2X By Kratus 2.3.1

Here's some progress with Elle/Electra:
She lacks some voices and enhanced whip attack when she holds weapons (like Zan mechanics but a bit different).
Miru: If you've got a good electric graphic sample for her, I'll maybye include for some moves.
I'll release once they're entirely finished, Moonwalker, Tracker (gba boss) and Elle/Electra for SOR1.6 or 1.7.
Kratus: Can you explain what corresponds the stats of the characters (ex: 3 stars in power) with openbor parameters?
It's just for adjusting the skills of each of the characters.

Nice work!! About stats, all characters have the explanation in your header section, except for attribute "Skills" that is a overall analisys of the all moves performance and variation.
Each attribute is counted from 1 to 6 and you can see it after "#"

Here's an example:

Update on my scrapped character recreations:

Some concept art I did for the character of God Hand. Progress on the characters (sprite artwork) is as follows:


* Pink Typhoon: 99% (all frames done! Additional parts for frankenspriting added!)
* Erie: 28.5% (sheet assembled for editing, pallette chosen, majority of sheet recolored)
* God Hand: 24% (As seen above, I have an idea for what his color scheme is, and a likely base. The base has been recolored and resizing is now in progress.
* Burn: 4.6% (Base decided. One custom attack has been finished up for the most part, and one more has been started.)
* Black Bird: 0.4% (Rough idea of his bases in mind, I have also thought up some moves for him.)
* Unnamed SOR4 character #1 "Snap" (the one in purple pants): 0.4% (decided on primary base, determining new head)
* Unnamed SOR4 character #2 "Anchor" (the large man): 0.3% (decided on primary base.)
* Unnamed SOR Xbox 360 protagonist "Ruffian": 0.3% (decided on primary base)

I really think Kratus should keep only SOR characters, or it will turn into a common mix match BOR clone pretty soon.
(well, people will edit this game anyway to do this, so...)
 
Another suggestion: Characters without a Rage move should have their Rage listed as blank, rather than as Level 1. Would be a better indicator of the character’s play style.

Yes, that's correct. For now, my plans are to make a game with original SOR characters only . It can include all Streets of Rage / Bare Knuckle versions.
I want to make a solid structure with fine precision in game mechanic, with some improvements and easy for modders to edit. This can extend SOR2X experience, like SOR Remake Mod section.
After the game is finished, I can use the same structure (scripts, etc...) with all Capcom characters in a totally new game like my old Street Fighter VS King of Fighters mod.

I agree with you, in the old versions Rage level not make sense for Galsia, Donovan, etc... But now this will be changed with Extra Menu.
Rage level indicates Rage bar recover rate (mprate) and not Rage move. In the next update will be possible to use Rage bar for Special/Special2/Special3 skills through Extra Menu options.
For example, you can disable Rage move for all characters and use Rage bar with Special skills only. Galsia, Donovan, etc now have simple Special skills that need some MP. Now, Rage bar level 1 will make sense :)

The Extra Menu will have the following options:

difficult: normal > hard > mania
lives: 1-9
rage skill: on > off
counter skill: on > off
juggles: on > off
super armor: on > off
special cost: life > rage > both
dodge type: sor2x > sor3
music style: remake > original
rage effects: after image > fake blur > off
screenshots: on > off

And if in-game, tha last option will be "Command List", that activates a webm scene showing all commands

Many good ideas :)
I really like this one, it's really cool in game to be possible to read and trying moves ;)
So many games miss this option ...
 
When/if you start working on SOR1 content, I have an idea for Onihime and Yasha: Have Onihime in the SOR1 Blaze outfit and Yasha in the SOR2 Blaze outfit (and probably add in their hair buns from the Master System version), to make them each distinct. Maybe give the Abadede/Abadede Jr. in the SOR1 route an axe (like in beta version screenshots)? Also, any plans to include the remake V4 soundtrack as well?

Two Blaze outfits is a good idea. About Abadede, it's true! I've searched and found some screenshots, he really he have an axe lol. I will make some tests, can be a good idea too. And for remake V4 musics, the playlist for SOR1/2/3 is not complete. An option can be a random script to play all versions of Bombergames musics, maybe...

Two Blaze outfits is a good idea. About Abadede, it's true! I've searched and found some screenshots, he really he have an axe lol. I will make some tests, can be a good idea too. Sure! I like the randomizer idea for the remake soundtrack. It would also allow for the unused versions of the V5 soundtrack to appear, alongside V4 and V5. Also, what do you think about my scrapped character recreation project?
 
Miru: This is a nice start on your characters and a good idea to work on these SOR concepts.
I think you chose the Street Smart karate man from the Genesis version who has 62 pixels height. I advice to begin with the arcade version which has more moves and 69 pixels height
(SOR character must have around 80 pixels height otherwise they are too small). Pink Typhoon should have a face edit also:

It's hard to find a good character for Black Bird at the good size. I can help you with Pink Typhoon if you've got some problems to release her ;)

Thank you for the face edit! Sure thing! You can definitely help me with Pink Typhoon! And yeah, I tried using the Genesis version of him and then resizing. I think I’ll use the arcade original instead.
