Hello everyone,

My friend Nando asked me to upload this game here. This is Furia Massive [SoR], created by him — the same author of Splatterhouse O‑Portal, which we shared earlier.

In my opinion, the game is excellent. At first glance it looks like a Streets of Rage demake, but in reality it plays in a more spacious, widescreen style. Modified characters from other stories have also been added, which gives the game extra flavor. Among the enemies there is one new fighter who really stood out to me: he wears a hockey mask like Jason, is armed with both a knife and a gun, and can attack with the knife while shooting. Even though he is technically a low‑tier enemy, in groups he can give you much more trouble than expected.

Gameplay is stable — no freezing, no slowdowns, no interruptions. Some new visual effects have been added to the fighters, as well as a new campaign with its own story.

This is Streets of Rage: Furia Massive – Version 1.1, and I hope Nando continues adding new updates in the future.

I’m not entirely sure how forum topics link to the Resources section, but the game is attached there for download.

A well-done fusion piece. Scaling up the Final Fight character sprites to fit the SoR characters is a good attempt. However, some character details could be improved, and the scene rendering is somewhat rough.

Not bad for what it's trying to do, but lacks some of the basic fundamentals.
  • Non-binding sling towel throws and no proper slams – that’s an instant deal breaking no-sale for me in any beat em' up. Double so for something with "Streets of Rage" in its name, since that's a core aspect of Streets of Rage.
  • Severe misuse of frame based move commands. This shows up in stuff like Adam's specials and Big Ben's fire rush - the stuttering staccato motion is a common trope of early OpenBOR projects from 2006 or so. Movement is one of the most rudimentary aspects of game making, and one of the most well documented. IMO after 20+ years, it is time to start using the engine’s core functionality correctly or get called out on it.
The visuals, sound effects, and mashed up aspects are a matter of taste. They're certainly done well from a technical aspect, and I can see a lot of effort has gone into this project, but without the basics in place, it's like building a fancy house on a bed of sand. Fix those foundational issues, and I think you'd have a winner.

Yep, same here. It renders some weird moments like this

it's impossible to throw someone over you like that, with the target facing the other direction

The idea isn't bad, but the execution fall flat. There are several basic mistakes;
- Wrong angle of the bags of cement. It's something so simple to arrange that it almost seems like laziness.

- For whatever reasons, Blaze jump attacks makes the enemy to bleed a lot, like it was hit by a knife

some grammar mistakes (I never saw "Pricila" in my entire life - it should me Priscila)
1767548345833.png
- "esta" instead of "está"

Grammar mistakes are a big no-no for me. I can understand mistakes made on your non-native language. But in your mother langauge? Nope.
I have no intention of offending the creator or diminishing their work. But there are some very basic errors.

I like some of the ideas, such as the fact that the levels don't seem so static, with animations here and there.

The game is complete with the correct build - it works OK. Did you check if all the folders on the path to the game are in Latin?
