Canceled The Lab of Mr.Din

Project is halted prior to completion and will not receive further updates.
I checked out your Deviant Art finally too. The art style for this game and it's sprites is so appealing on the eyes and so consistent too! I'm still blown away by the huge amount of enemy design variations and the character costumes from all the games and cover arts and such. I haven't seen this much attention to detail in an OpenBOR project in a long time. It's probably my most anticipated OpenBOR game now (along with Avengers United Battle Force).

I was wondering if there's any chance of getting a playable demo sometime this year? It'd be amazing to actually see how the game feels and plays, even if it's just a couple of stages with 1 or 2 characters available to try. Would that be possible? :)

I can't weigh in on Shinobi because I only ever played one of those on the genesis and I wasn't much of a fan, but personally I'd much rather see some of the SoR enemy characters and especially bosses as playables rather than guest characters. Someone on your Deviant Art was requesting the Whip Ladies be playable and I would like to second that. Elle was one of my favourite characters in the SoR Remake so it would be great to see a similar concept here ^_^.

It would be very cool to see Bosses like Zamza playable with a full moveset, though I appreciate that would probably be a ridiculous amount of extra work, lol.

Hope to see some more screenshots and such soon! ^_^ Keep up the awesome work.

Honestly the likeliness of a demo is pretty low outside private testing. I put A LOT of work into not only the graphics for the game but also other aspects, like music and even recently voice acting for character moves have been contributed to this project.

To be frank I'm not looking forward to some bum idiot taking this and making his own shitty "megamix" of it. If the full game is out there and it happens then oh well but I rather not spoil the project before it's done.

I am with you. People are now stealing work in progress games...

The mods are usually garbage & cringe. It ruined the chance of a continuance for Streets of Rage Z & that aggravates me. Be sure to find a way to make it uncrackable as possible. Looking forward to Din streaming an update if he's willing to.

Totally Agreed man.
People take, doesn't ask permission, doesn't even credit, it's a real shame.

Do your stuff until YOU decide to show/share what you want.

And, really good luck with this project. I really enjoy your graphic stuff man as always, you're a true spriter AND a great animator ;)

I appreciate you guys understanding. Honestly it's such a cancer in this community to have to deal with that, the awesome members and modders don't deserve that kind of crap. OBoR gets a bad enough rep as is without all that.

Man it's truly an honor to hear that from you, I've been admiring your Final street fighter videos for years, infact it's a heavy influence on the project. When I saw those combos and stuff were possible I was hooked on trying to figure out HOW to do that in this engine so thanks for the inspiration.

As for an update hopefully as always I want to drop something soon but between health issues, life and my undying perfectionism the matter of When is always up in the air haha. You'll all be happy to know the characters currently in progress are Axel, Adam, Blaze and Max. Axel is pretty much complete outside of adding finishing touches on his sprites and animations, the rest are in the basics phase, walking, idle etc animations. Really can't want to show off what I've been learning. :)

Your words are very nice and the honor is mutual Din ;)
Since i discovered you and follow your works i'm enjoying what i'm seeing everytime.
I know that i told you "Do your stuff until YOU decide to show/share what you want." but in reality i can't wait to see more of your mod man :)
Your Axel's sprites and animations looks really good so far and i already know that it is gonna be a masterpiece, even if i don't know how the gameplay would be yet.

I appreciate it! I'll likely have a little more time to work on it due to bed rest so more to come soon.

@DintheAbary,

you're right, there are some users who do not respect the rules.

They are new modders and they are very young.

The OpenBOR platform is free, sprites, backgrounds, colors, drawings, etc.

They just have to understand that it is enough to follow the Masters and improve what the Masters have created.

They must be inspired by them and create their own dreams.

They can ask the Masters and the Masters will be able to answer them and help them in their creations.

Young minds will understand and respect will come by itself.

Peace & Love

WAIT a minute!! Yotatouch is man behind Final Street Fighter??? I think i still keep the demo video from youtube years ago at my hard drive  :D  I keep waiting but but it looks like the game was never released right?
Sorry for OT, man your work is simply amazing.. you redraw everything?
To be honest, your work is making my small project to be like... really small  ;D l have seen a lot of things but only this time I saw something very extraordinary, exactly what I felt when I saw the final street fighter!!
So far I like many things with Openbor, I like the original mod by Bloodbane and others too but really hope that chronocrash member can form a team to make something like this.
with team the chance to complete the project will be greater than done alone, especially big projects like this. I hope you can get everything you need and enough time to keep continue working on this project
Just subscribed your youtube channel and I'm exciting to see the next updates  :) sorry for my English

I appreciate everyone's patience, I'll be making a new thread when the demo is finally released but here's another preview. see you at SEGA Fan Jam
