HUD Design Opinion???

I'm iterating on a HUD design for a module I'm working on. I'm excruciating over more than I probably should so I'd like to see what people think. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Each one differs from the last, but common features are hp, sp, score, lives, funds, and an inventory that shows the currently selected item. The little pips next to the current selection indicated other items in the inventory, with the large pip marking the current selection. Some of the later revisions feature a rank(or level) meter, but I may or may not keep that feature.

I prefer item to be placed on the right side cause my first instinct is to find player's icon first on left side. Speaking of which, player's icon should be big enough to be seen.
As for score and funds, I prefer to have them close to each other. Wait a sec, why do you have score and funds?

My own personal opinion is that they are all a little too noisy but thats because for me I like minimal HUD designs, there is absolutely no point in a score anymore so I would remove the score especially if you also are displaying money on screen too.

Oh I guess Inshould have explained that my bad. The reason I have both a score and funds is because they serve different purposes. Score acts like experience points, the higher the score the higher the player’s level becomes. Funds can be used to purchase upgrades and items at the end of stages, like in Viewtiful Joe or Battle Circuit.
