Time to preview Vega/Claw, on a crossover with Marvel, Darkstalkers and Fatal Fury!

The vast majority of the sprites seen in the video were designed by Jhfer, who greatly expanded the original sprites from the game "SNK vs. Capcom: Match of the Millennium" since he only had 9 sprites in that game. He did an AMAZING job.

Vega has several of his classic attacks, such as "Flying Barcelona Attack (the famous move where he jumps onto the back wall and leaps onto the enemy, grabbing them in the air and slamming them to the ground)", "Rolling Crystal Flash", and others.

If he is low on health, he starts using other moves, such as "Sky High" - a movement where he also jumps on the wall, but on the front wall and flies towards the enemy at high speed.

The new version of this project should be released in mid-January 2024.

As we enter the Golden Axe universe, we realize that the walls between the universes are collapsing and there are beings from other universes, such as Breath of Fire.

Hoping to find the Death Adder, we met another character: The Wizard of Karma, a powerful necromancer who abuses electrical magic and conjuring the dead.


As is standard in the project, every time a boss drops to low health, he starts executing new attacks - and he starts using ice magic, his lightning bolts get faster and he summons even more undead.

Here's the question: Where is Death Adder?

I was looking at that stage and it looks gorgeous!. I would recommend to shorten the length of the skeleton legs on the wall, to be a little bit more close to the in game sprites, unless you kept them all taller by design.

Oh yeah that necromancer looks dope and the 4 summoned skeletons don’t look annoying at all (unlike the ones on arcade golden axe). Love the change on the behavior in the boss. My guess is that you are using a script to spawn random palette on the skeletons?

Ohh and I cannot remain silent about this: you put the little cute thieves from golden axe, and you didn’t give them the cutest squirrel-like sound effect of all time?? How dare you! 😆

One of our ideas was to make some of the skeletons to jump off the wall. And if we ending doing so, we will short their legs for sure :)
I also need to add the statues at the end of the stage, like in the original game :)

Yes - all bosses call minions which uses random palettes, to avoid looking all the same :)

hahaha because we haven't found that sound effect yet :)
Btw, Jhfer did a crazy thing on them - they ATTACK you; they spawm a random item everytime they fall and they will try to get health itens back.

The level is a little short (and maybe I'll increase it later), but I like the result.

The cheerleaders at the end of the level only join the fight if you get close to them and they can be quite annoying to face.

Balrog is agile and strong, dodging attacks while throwing strong punches. But he is so unscrupulous that he punches anyone in front of him, whether he is an enemy or not :)

It was born from a wrong configuration in candamage but I liked it so much (and it suits his personality) that I decided to leave it :)

You can "bullfight" him, making him hit his own minions lol.

I know you aren't ready for the leap to 4.0, but when you want to try it for something else, you should check out the new faction system.

I read it and its a nice idea for sure!
But as I am about to release a new demo, it would be a bad idea to move to V4 now.

My plans are:
- update PDC2 in January
- Update Avengers in the first quarter (being it ready or not)
- Release Power Rangers near the end of the year.

After that, I will be ready to move to V4 :)
Since all of them share the same code libary, I need to upgrade all of them at the same time and this could be an herculean task.

But its on my plans for sure.
